I brought a roll of thin mints to my frats party tonight in my jacket and fat chicks kept on gettin all up on me smelling my jacket....... wierd.
sorry to rain on you alls parade but here is some of the nutritional value of some of your mentioned cookies : notice the saturated fat and serving size. Who eats just 2 cookies!?
My boss said if we didn't buy his daughter's GS cookies, we wouldn't get our paychecks last week. Sadly, I was the only one who noticed the hint of sarcasm in his voice and the ludicrous proposal because two hours later a LOT of people had suddenly signed up to buy Thin Mints and Peanut Butter Patties. I was actually planning to buy some cookies for my parents, but after that charade, I purposely decided to wait until I see some little girls selling them outside Wal-Mart, like they do every year.
Why are they called Samoas on some boxes and Caramel Delights at other times? That has always bugged me.
I have never seen them called Carmel Delights, but I do know that different troops get different cookies to sell. They all get the standards like Thin Mints, but each troop is given different fringe cookie to sell. My guess on the name difference is because alot of people can't figure out what a Samoa is so they are trying out a different name.
I don't think that anyone who is going out and buying girl scout cookies really cares about their nutritional value...
I don't buy them for the simple fact that I can't seem to control myself when eating them. I will eat a few and then I will want a few more and, pretty soon, the whole damn box is gone. They always leave you coming back for more. One or two cookies is never enough. So, I don't buy them. I don't buy cookies in general. It's easier for me to say "cookies are for kids" and call it a day. So, enjoy your cookies kiddies.
Give me a shout dude. I live at the Verandah. There are about 10 different complexes out here. I think Ive responded to the 97X bit about 3 times..... Its a quote from Rainman when they are driving in the car. Raymond keeps repeating that phrase, and Charlie starts getting pissed.
I helped my daughter again this year and Thin Mints were always the top selling cookies. But this year Samaoas took over as the best selling cookies for our sales. Those are by far my favorite.
I really don't know where you guys are getting boxes with the name Samoas on them. I've bought 3 boxes already this year and they all say Caramel Delights.
My girlfriend and I bought a box in college station the name was samoas, her friend bought some in dallas they were carmel delights, In austin when we bought some they were also samoas. I think the girl scouts are just messing with our minds.
My sister knows someone in Philly that has them with that name on theirs, so I checked into this and found out that the Girl Scouts have at least two different bakers and they are the same thing but diff name...........having two daughters helps finding answers to things 20 years ago I never would have known about.
