I seem to remember Collier giving Shaq a lil' of his white magic. We won the game and Shaq began to hate white people even more. Then again he hated from the start. except for phil jackson, the white guy smart enough to help him get a ring. Black/white who gives a #$%&!!!!! I personally can see how Collier should be in the NBA as opposed to Terrrence Morris....
Let's not make this racial guys! Collier and Langhi are weak, but injuries kept us from the playoffs. (Not two white guys)
Hate to remind you but we drafted a skinny white guy with the #15 pick in the draft this summer. Looks like we'll have both again
Terence dropped a double double, bay-bay!! (never mind he missed two thirds of his shots against mad dog madsen and a bunch of other scrubs) Tell Butchie where he can stuff it!
Collier is just not a good player period! If you are a NBA "vet" and you can't gett off at all during the Summer League then you're not cut out for the NBA. He's never shown me anything, not even any potential. He has a decent mid-range jumper but that is it and if he can't get the ball wide open, he can't even do that. He can't run, he can't jump, he can't catch the ball, he just useless and thats the whole point of this thread. PS: I think A-Train was kidding so everyone should just relax. I'm black and I don't care what color our players are as long as they help us win, and that is something I think Ming & Nachbar can do but something I know Collier CAN'T.
Collier really is a waste of space, and I would love to see him go, but I don't think anybody wants him, so we might as well keep him for when hack-a-shaq time comes along.
Collier does have some skills. He can shoot very well for a big man and he can pass well too. However, he has been injury-prone so we have not been able to see a lot of him. What the Rockets need to do is define a role from him. He has almost no post game at all, which is sad for a 7-footer. The Rockets should send him to Pete Newell's Big Man camp in Hawaii, where all the other big men go. I think the Rockets will keep him around this year because he is still an enigma, but if he can't play this year, then I think he'll be gone.
Collier definitely deserves a place on a NBA roster. Coming into the league, I don't think anyone expected him to be an All-Star. When he gets fully healthy he'll do just fine. Collier is every bit as good as someone like Todd MacCollough and he's been to the last two finals. He's also been a decent contributor to the 76ers and Nets in his two years in the league. Look at the stats of Collier and MacCollough. They're strikingly similar. If Collier can stay healthy he can produce on a similar level and I think that's what people have expected of him. Personally, I think he might fit in with a different program, but given a full bill of health he could be solid for the Rockets this year.
I don't see a reason to keep him on the team. Shaq would abuse him anyway. He's not even worth six fouls. He's better off learning the game somewhere else. He's a European player in many ways.
Thats right! Collier sux! and if we ever see him on the street we're gonna kick his ass for being such a sorry player! right guys!....uh guys?!? hello... (crickets chirping in background)
It seems to me that he has not adapted to the speed of the NBA.He looks as if he is moving in slow motion. He does ,however, have skills. He has to adapt to the pace of the game.
