Yes, he spent a ton of time in CO as player and coach, but not his entire career before coming here (like Caserio did). DeMeco may have input or even final say, but the flavor of hires on offense have been picked by Caserio this year...
This and giving Tytus $58 mil when he really didn’t need to extend him and could’ve just picked up his 5th year. Caserio is a bit too trigger happy with these contracts.
I'm pretty sure that the trade was contingent on the contract change. It was an aggressive, win now move. Last year didn't go as planned, but Diggs did play very well for us before getting sidelined.
