There is nothing guaranteed about the Pats position, and there certainly are no guarantees that either Caleb Williams or Drake Maye pan out. They've both shown some serious flaws this season, but a lot remains to be seen. I still would think of the Patriots as a less than ideal position for someone like Caserio from the sheer perspective that he would never be building his own legacy there. Everything he does would be in direct comparison to Belichick, for better or for worse. You'd be working under a shadow that would be impossible to get out from, especially being the guy coming in directly after Bill. Nick has everything going for him in Houston, and there would be no reason to leave that behind right now.
There is an element of fans who wanted EVERYONE gone including the owners, trainers and even vendors. There have been many incompetent GMs, but the HATE for Easterby is over the top. It appears to be personal.
It is personal with Easterby. He’s a snake. This team, top to bottom, disappointed the fans here worse in the last 4 years than many teams fans will go through in their lifetime.. I understand wanting everyone gone. I’m also excited for the future with what this team has found now.
He's not going anywhere soon, as much as certain bbs people want to crap on him. Now he knows what he's got at QB, he's got money and picks to fill the spots in the offseason. If this team is not making serious noise in the playoffs next year then maybe yall can talk about maybe firing him or sending him to Boston or whatever. Stroud has advanced our timeline for great success by at least a year.
Perhaps I can't appreciate what those fans went through since it occurred in my gap between the NFL supporting using the field as a platform for politics and my return earlier this off season. I know many avid fans who will not return because of it.
Some pundits have given him love for having to fire two black coaches (rightfully) and bearing the brunt of the media bs that followed. By media I mostly mean that clown and Dollar Tree Flavor Flav impersonator SAS.
Typically GM's aren't leaving a generational QB, even if you have a top pick to draft one who "could be" one. You know what you have at QB is special here.
