It went something like this: a stop, a hoop, a hold and we go home for game 7 and oh yeah no 3's! Go get em boys!

    Oh my god.
He called a timeout right before... and he discussed absolutely no strategy with his team. I am dead.

We got a hold and a hoop. Just couldn't get that last hold.

During the TO McHale was just like "Okay guys, play harder"

Another key part of this interview, which Lillard brought up at least twice, was that TJones was guarding the inbounder with his back towards the play, so Lillard knew if he sprinted to the 3 pt line that the inbounder would be able to get a clean pass to him. That's gotta be on the coach as well.

this just showed how clueless our coaching staffs are . This only reason the players didn't even know who they suppose to guard is because there were no instruction from the coach after the time out

I don't understand why McHale wouldn't be able to lay out the strategy BEFORE the players get on the court. Surely McHale must've known they were going to screen for Lillard. Everyone on Earth knew that would be the play. There are so many things wrong with the defensive alignment it's not even funny. The most egregious part isn't even the "do we switch or not" it's having TJ guard the corner/inside the arc. Clearly Portland was going for the top of the arc 3 with the way the play was set up.

Why was TJ even on the court or guarding the inbounds pass?

Sheesh. This is just an embarrassment. Fundamental failure. Poor strategy. Players confused.....

Maybe they should have just done it harder?

The biggest fail on the whole play was that the Rockets were guarding the inbounder. Why?
