If you vote yes, I'm really curious as to why. I'm also curious as to why Sampson and others feel this way??? What is it based on??

Voted Yes but I think he is an afterthought...
If you list the elites he is the one on the outside looking in

I voted yes because I couldn't think of more than a few PGs I'd DEFINITELY take over him.

CP3, Curry, Westbrook (I cringe saying this because I don't like him as a player, but he is better), a healthy & playoff time Rondo, and a healthy Drose.

I think Lillard is in range with Kyrie, Tony Parker.

So pretty much 3 locks, 2 if healthy, and 2 pushes with him.

I think that puts him into elite territory with PGs being as deep a position as it is, but not superstar level.

I honestly wonder what elite PG means these days when a lot of teams have them and exactly one of the teams built around them (Spurs) are a contender.

I voted yes, but fringe elite. Not quite on the same level as paul, westbrook or parker, but time will tell.

he barely shoots 40% from the field but he hits alot of 3s and is a lights out FT shooter, but its rare for him to have 8+ assists.

    Chris Paul
    Steph Curry
    Deron Williams
    John Wall

    Those are the elite PG

Westbrook is a hybrid elite guard

CP3 is on another level, Parker is close to that level maybe, though harder to tell with the crazy context of the Spurs.

Everyone else after that is a mixed bag, some are better than others but not a definitive level. Deron WAS on a higher level, but the key is WAS.

Wall / Irving might get there, but most people jump the gun .

This is a joke right? Williams and Wall? Seriously? Those two are barely 2nd Tier - one rising, one falling. No love for Tony Parker. The guy was having an MVP season last year before he got hurt.

Lillard is borderline elite. He has games where he disappears, e.g. the last one against the Rockets. The elite pgs, CP3, TP, Curry and Westbrook are in it every game. Their consistency makes them elite. Kyrie is borderline elite. Take him out of Cleveland and put him anywhere but Sacramento and he becomes elite.

d-will just came back tonight and played fantastic, he's still young but health has been an issue for him. Id vouch to say D-will at 100% 3 years ago was = chris paul. If you say otherwise you never saw him eat the rockets lunch in the playoffs....twice

Smh still no acknowledgement that Parker is a top tier pg in the league. Also 3 seasons ago rose was the MVP of the league, but u don't include him? I don't get your method

No, he's not an elite PG. He's only shooting 40% from the field right now and under 6 assists per game, which is very close to the numbers he put up last year.

His 3pt shooting is good, but that's not how you earn elite PG status. Elite PG's distribute the ball and can attack the paint with a high FG%. Lillard plays more like a SG, sort of like Ray Allen than he does a natural PG.

IMO you hit the nail on the head. Parker and CP3 are on an extremely rarefied
    level.

Could be elite on the level of CP3 and Parker one day... but will probably never reach Lin level of greatness.

Parker is one of the most underrated players in the NBA. Dude has been killing it since the championship years. And the fact that the Spurs are still winning like they are is just a testament to how good he is. That and Pop.

    Also, no love for Rondo?

He's not that young - only a year younger than Harden.
