I'm sorry if there was already a thread that I could've asked this question on, but...

I want to know y'alls opinion: Would you rather play Dallas or Portland in the first round (with us having HCA in either series)?

With the Clippers easy schedule remaining and the chance for us and Memphis to end up with the same record at the end of year, there's a good chance we could end up 5th and play Portland again. Personally, I would rather play Portland since they don't have the veteran leadership and coaching staff as compared to Dallas, and they lost Wes Matthews, which hurts their depth.

Also, assuming we win either match up, you would need to take into account if you would rather want to play GSW or SA in the second round.

Dallas, Aldridge is near unstoppable and Lillard can take over games offensively. Not to mention how clutch Batum is and Robin Lopez who always finds a way to get ignored by the defense and get at least 3 open dunks in one game.

Dallas has no one on there team who can overwhelm the defense like Portland.

I agree -- whoever. There's no easy out. No matter who you play, it's going to be a tough matchup. If it was easy, it'd be the East.

Most definitely Dallas. Avoid studs like Lillard and Aldridge and play a washed up Dirk with his cast of role players.

I'd definitely like to return the favor to Portland, but that would mean falling to the 5 seed and playing the Warriors in round 2. No thanks.

Dallas, for the sheer reason that we can go to each game.

I think it's always a jinx to hope for one team over another. If you have a team like the Rockets that can be contenders they may have to beat any team in the league to get there.

So that being said, it doesn't really matter to me.

It doesn't even matter at this point, we'll be underdogs no matter what. However living in the east coast, I'd personally would like Dallas, San Antonio, even Memphis.. Hate staying up past 1am, then trying to sleep after a close win or frustrating loss...

I don't care. We're better than both of them. I only really fear the Clips, and not because they're the better team, just because they seem to match up really well against us for whatever reason. And the Warriors of course, but we're not going to face them in R1 anyway.

C.J. McCollum is the real difference maker on that bench

Thanks for your honesty, guys. I'm just really excited for the playoffs to begin, and I've been thinking about all of the possible match ups we could end up with in the 1st round.

Don't really care. Everyone in the West is so good it will take a tough six games at least to win a series. Beating either team would give a sense of redemption but I have a feeling either one hit their stride against us and play their best basketball.

Gun to my head? I say Dallas but just barely and that's because I think Aldridge and Lillard will feast on us. Nobody on the Dallas squad scares me like those two.
