Collison always plays Yao like a beast. He would be a nice addition. Not sure what we would have to give up. Thats the main problem, we have no expendable pieces that could really give us a upgrade. Head and Hayes aint bringing us much in return on the trade market.

 

Look for Head (maybe Francis too) traded for a tall stiff who can take up some space in the middle.

 

So now people in the front office are beginning to see what every Rockets fan dead or alive already knew..... we need tall center.

all the yao haters complain about how bad yao plays. With yao out of the lineup, this team sure suck balls

 

Sign Raef Lafrentz to a vet minimum deal after he is traded and released midseason. Raef is the long term backup center solution we need, especially when we can probably get him after this year for, oh, say, $6 mill for 2 years or something like that.

 

This is why we should have kept Woods or better yet, Mutombo.

 

Lay blame strictly at StatMan. Why do I say that? Just put reasonable thinking 1st. Your center went down the last 2 yrs for 30 games each season. The coach had to lean on a 42 yr old for a bailout. The center is rehabbing to come back for the olympics which is cool. The draft rolls around and the team drafts a 6'10 swing which is cool and manuver around to get a 6'7 pf when the team has 3 pf's 6'9 or smaller. I'm not saying Deandre Jordan will be great, but if you're going to have a project, why not a 7 ft project? Lets move on.

Free agency starts and the rox only have the lle,vets min, mle. They are close to the lux tax so they only want to use lle and some of the mle on landry. He signed a 37 yr old guard when the team had too many sg's already. He resigned Landry and entered the season without a backup to yao.

Adelman is pissed as he should. I whined about it last yr, just as adelman probably did also. During his blazer days, he had duckworth with cooper backing him up and later drafted alla abernathy. He know how important it is to have some bigs on the roster. Don't give me the piss poor excuse about the lux tax when philly gave carney and booth away for a 2nd and denver gave camby away for a 2nd. The day morey signed barry and kept wafer, he should have been looking to give head or francis away so he can sign deke or just make a trade. It made no sense then and it doesn't make sense now.

 

i kept saying before that waiting until late in the season to sign mutombo is a big mistake. we're courting with injury to yao if we waited that long (which happened btw).

we need to sign deke now and worry how to dump salaries later (trading head, etc). but i prefer we trade for a 7" now so we can have a few months of checking him out to see if he's serviceable,if not, retrade him at the deadline to free up the money for deke. but if he's good enough, we won't need to re-sign deke.

 

What kind of brainless front office do we have, umm a little reminder on what mutombo can do. This is recent mutombo and he can do it again until we get our own celtics-kendrick perkins-type back up 5.
