    anyone check out http://www.blogmaverick.com/ ?

Mark Cuban has a list of refs and Mavericks playoff records with those refs. I think he might be implying that his team got screwed last night because Dan Crawford, Capers, and Mauers were the refs and his team has a losing record with those refs.

I can't believe any Dallas fan would actually complain about the refs, it was ovbiously so one-sided that it felt like the Rockets were playing 8 on 5 last night.

You know, I think Cuban has a point. The refs really do have it in for the Mavs.

I encourage all you Mavs fans, players, and team officials to spend as much time as possible thinking about the refs and how they're screwing you. Your delusion that you're playing 5 on 8 is almost as helpful to us as the real thing.

Dude dont get your panties in a knot. When I say the guy looks like a "chimp", I mean the guy looks like a "chimp". Its not a racist thing, and I personally don't care if you are offended.

Yeah I just realized that. On the espn.com box score it says dan crawford so it must be a typo. So I guess Cuban's implications don't really hold much water. I would love it if some of the posters on here would leave comments for him on that site.

OMG… Avery Johnson is such a whiny little loser. Joe Crawford and his crew officiated game one like they were on Mark Cuban’s payroll. I thought the refs tried their best to make Dallas win game one already. They got Yao fouled out on some weak calls, they go to the foul line 22 more times, and AJ is still upset with the way the refs called the game. That is just freaking unbelievable! Maybe the refs should add 20 extra points for the Mavs every game before the tip off just to make AJ and Cuban happy.

Now I do think AJ lost his cool. But to say he can't coach and that he's a low tier college coach? That's unfounded. By all accounts, he has the respect and know-how to be a legitimate NBA coach. He served as an assistant, and has always been another coach on the floor when a player.

By the way guys...he probably knew he was getting calls all game. He just wanted more calls down the stretch and wasn't getting em. Guys get used to things going their way..then can't deal with it when they change =P

(which is why consistency on *both ends* is more important than being "good" and "right" all the time)

Just because the wads in Dallas think Avery Johnson is a great coach doesn't make it so. Johnson sat there most of the game not doing a damn thing until it was obvious that the Mavs were going to lose. Then he decided to get up and blast the ref's ,who had been keeping his team in the game with foul calls in their favor.

I like this characterization from David Wesley:

AJ was hoping to get tossed from the game to make a statement for Game 2 but Crawford wouldn't let him. Too cool.
