Nobody said they had a problem with him coming here. It was just obvious that the Rockets weren't going to pursue him. Dallas is the only place that assumed the Rockets wanted him.

And now Jeff is out of a job. That speaks volumes.

I would still choose the Mavs current roster over the Warriors....

What's so hard to believe that Avery's good enough to be worthy of coaching the Rockets?

Hire Larry Brown! Then when he quits next year, we can get JVG back.

Avery is a tool and yeah he did inherit the team that Nellie built. I'll go one further to say he got completely outcoached by Nellie in this playoffs. He had the better squad. On top of that. Avery would flop if it weren't for Del Harris who is the brains of the team behind him.

I was underwhelmed when the Rockets decided to replace Rudy with Van Gundy and, to be honest, I’m pretty underwhelmed with Adelman as well. I would have preferred an up-and-comer like Iavaroni.

Those idiots in Dallas are friggin clueless. He needs to realize Rev Averyjust wasted home court advantage flaming out to the friggin 8 seed. We had enough of losing in the first round thanks but no thanks. I think Brown is a great coach but he is too much of a flake so I want no part of him near our team. I say hire Adleman or someone else.

People got on JVG's case for not developing our young talent.

Don't people realize Larry Brown is the same way?

He doesn't play the young bucks.

I know, thats why I wouldnt like him as a replacement. He's basically another JVG. he is really overrated as well. The guy has won 1 championship and has coached forever.

I am sticking with my guns. AJ can flat out coach. He gave that Mavs team an identity and nearly won 70 games. He has all the attributes of a great coach, even the Napoleon complex is going for him. He isnt afraid to make drastic gameplan decisions (hint hint Van Gundy). The media brainwashed everybody into thinking the Devean George move was an atrocity. Whatever man.

Personally I feel they lost to the 8th seed because of the Mavericks managements constant backing of Dirk. The guy has NO low block presence on either end, he has no toughness, he isnt a leader, he shouldnt be THE guy. If they had Garnett they would have locked up the ring. I agree AJ hasnt proven himself, but I think he is a stud. Everything he has shown has been great.

With an inferior team that was expected to lose to him.

Brown was actually the first choice of Les when JVG was hired (though I don't really know how it fits his desire to have a more up tempo offense).

It is odd that they let JVG because they were positive about one of their interview prospects, yet they haven't hired anyone. My guess is that they are waiting so they don't look any more unprofessional than they already do with the way they handled the firing. Announcing Adelman the same day would probably be frowned on by others in the NBA.

Larry Brown is a great coach the whole Knicks experience has put a bad rep on him but he is still the best motivator in the league. As for the Pistons it figures that they lost focus last year against Cleveland and Miami. No way they sleep through the playoffs under Brown. He is that kind of coach who will get on you for the simplest of mistakes. The Pistons had the same lapse in concentration again this year against Bulls and almost led them back into the series. People don't appreciate the mental toughness Larry Brown instills in his players. I have a lot of respect for that kind of coach. He was never afraid to call out a superstar like Allen Iverson and turn him into an MVP. It takes a lot of balls to do that and maybe that's what Yao and T-Mac need. A no nonsense type of coach who will tell them exactly like it is. I think JVG should have been a bit more tough on T-Mac and his lazy 3 pointers. Larry Brown would give him a earful and maybe even call him out in the public. It is always a risk sometimes it work but then guys get used to like AI in his last year with Brown.

I would publicly support the hiring of Larry Brown in Houston.
