Thought this could use a new thread for Rockets/Cowboys fans. I think this season could be "Super" if you know what I mean. We have the best offensive line in the game with some depth (La'el Collins who we got for pennies) . We finally have a defensive line with serious pass rush potential. What we lost was a running back. The question is was the running so good that it made the o line look good or was the o line so good they made the running back look good? I think it is the latter and we have one of the best if not THE best QB's in the game in Romo. We have a passing game. We can pass the ball, no doubt. We should be able to rush the passer which makes our defense light years better. If we can run the ball with even a little bit of success we will be Superbowl contenders!!!!!
Good job starting this.... Been meaning to do it myself. I created a post last year for 2014-2015 and went on record saying we were going to be bad. I was wrong. We have a tough schedule but we should win between 10-13 games. I am so excited about our rookies. Gregory had 3 sacks in the preseason and another 2 that were called back because of a penalty. Jones and Collins should rotate in as solid depth as well. Running back by committee should be fine. One of them will emerge as a little bit more of the bellcow. I think that will be Randle or the newly acquired Michael.
I too thought we would be bad last year. I was not a huge Garrett fan given all his idiotic clock management mistakes that kept us from the playoffs three years running. Jerry hiring Linehan was a stroke of genius. It kept Garrett from making the offensive play calls. We had no game / clock management mistakes to keep us from the playoffs last year. This year, we have dramatically improved on defense.
I'm glad you guys started a thread for us. Hopefully it doesn't get hijacked again. I was one of the few that thought we would have a good season last year, and they surpassed my expectations. I expect 10-13 wins and to win the NFC East. We have a real shot this year. That said i was surprised and disappointed we cut Gus Johnson and more surprised we traded for Christine Michael. I'm so ready for the season to start. This could be a magical year for us.
i always have a cowboy on my fantasy team until this year (im a fan of the team) i was a little bummed about that, but then came along christine michael. and now i have the cowboys future RB. i hope he gets a chance and starts by game 4 or so. otherwise it's going to be very interesting to see sean lee, gregory, and most of all for me collins. if ends up being as good as his draft projection was supposed to then this offensive line will end up being DOMINANT. if michael does not work out i assume they will draft a running back in the first 2 rounds next year. i hope they choose wisely because if you put a good young RB behind this O-Line in its prime then this team will be fun to watch

1) Love what they did with Dunbar tonight. That's the perfect role for him. 2) I need more McFadden. He hits the hole very well. The Giants were closing holes pretty well and Randle was a step slow every time, it seemed. With McFadden, if there was a hole, he hit it at the right time. 3) For all of this talk about the O-Line in the running game, I'm pretty dang sure Romo only felt pressure one time tonight... when he flipped it out to Dunbar on the last drive. The pass blocking was outstanding, and Romo was on the money every time he read the defense. 4) Once again, the defense looks to have the motto of "bend but don't break." Giants drove down the field with ease pretty much all night but as soon as they got near the red zone, the defense stood tall. Don't get me wrong, it was good tonight, but guys like Rodgers and Brady will carve them up. 5) Thank God the Giants have no backbone. Pass on third down? Kick the FG? There was literally no "con" to going for it on 4th down. If you make it, you win the game. If you miss it, Cowboys have the ball on the 1 yard line and they only play to tie. Really stupid.... but I love it.

https://youtu.be/vJZUoqDe4VQ Man, that is despicable. Fat bully girl fights a guy at a Cowboys game <iframe width="854" height="480" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/vJZUoqDe4VQ" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Well that was too close for comfort. You don't in many games -3 on turnovers. Cowboys have to protect the ball. Thank goodness for Romo bailing them out in the end. Romo is the best QB in the league IMHO.
There's no bigger Romo fan than me but you gotta chill out man. Aaron Rodgers, Tom Brady and Ben Roethlisberger are still in the league.
