Giants are supposed to be in contention according to who? The New York Times? These two teams will finish 3rd and 4th in their division. Well, boo-hoo for me. Sorry, but even if I had thought about tuning in, I can't get into a game where I could care less for either team.
i understand your feelings about Dallas...I agree....but NY was a playoff team last year. they're a pretty good team....and they came off a week 1 spanking of the "annointed" Rams.

I don't know Max. With the way parity is now in the NFL and the fact that the NFC East is one of the weaker divisions out there, I think the Giants will be exposed this season for what they really are...a mediocre team. I know that Philly has gotten off to a bad start, but I still see them ahead of the Giants and Cowboys and don't ever count out a Spurrier team. The Skins could win the division this season; I think they are at least a wild card team this season.
you may be right...but i think it's legitimate to say the Giants are a playoff contender...it's not like saying the Bengals are. i think philly is extremely overrated...i thought that after week 1, and nothing changed my mind in week 2. you can't lose that many good defensive players and be so one-dimensional on offense and expect to be a super bowl contender.
Well maybe you don't hate the cowboys as much as you think. I know several people who take glee in cowboy suckitude, and would definitely tune in when they're on center stage like this to cheer them to fail, esp with the pub Parcells is getting. Why the hell does anyone watch the Jazz in the playoffs the last few years? Everyone knows they weren't making it out of the first round. In most cases, esp on this board, it was to take glee in watching them fail. It happens, whether you want to admit it or not. And the reason why that game was so exciting is that both of those teams suck. When 2 teams that are somewhat even play each other, that is what happens...close and exciting games. If the Cowboys had played a team that is better than them instead of even with them, it would have been a blowout with the Cowboys on the losing end. Maybe you think the giants suck, but there are a lot of people who think to the contrary. Some are even suggesting super bowl contender, which I certainly don't think is out of the realm of possibilty, despite this loss. They were a playoff team last year that should have gone further and will probly at the least be a playoff team again. Yes Dallas sucks, but that just added to the hook, the huge underdog with a great coach against a much more talented team.
