Nene would be MUCH more worth going after imo. I agree with some of the other guys here that Dalembert isn't worth trading for.

I would take him. We're pretty desperate for a shotblocking rebounding center. If he's the best available then go for it, why not? Maybe re-sign him on a far less expensive contract next year.

Would Apeman even play Dalembert?... we know how he has to observe players in practice for a season before he can figure out how to integrate them into the team.

If the Rockets have exhausted every other option, and they are still in playoff contention near the trade deadline, then I say go for it.

Yao & Brooks for Dalambert & Landry

( IF AND ONLY IF Dalambert is the best we can do... )

    send Hill to the Vipers...
TWill time at the back up point...

Here's the thing, it doesn't matter if Dalembert is a complete offensive vacuum. We get more than an offense from 1-4 that we don't need any from the 5. We need to get rebounds and block shots. That is by far our number one deficiency from the center position.

His an upgrade from Injured Yao and JJ right? Why would you make this trade? Jason Thompson doesn't play center by the way. If we were to acquire him he probably won't even play due to how clogged up the 4 spot is.

If we can swing a Yao + assets for Melo + Harrington trade, then maybe a follow up deal could be Battier + Jeffries for Dalembert.

Dally will be available for the minimum after Sacramento buys him out. As was discussed in an earlier thread,..........

We can take Landry back with the DPE or Ariza TPE, we trade them Yao for nothing but a $17 million TPE, they buy out Dally and Dally is available for the minimum. Sacramento is trying to see if they can do better.

That also means he's available to everyone else for the minimum as well.

That's true. And Miami or some team like that is likely to get him. But he's not worth trading for. If he doesn't want to come here for the minimum, then pass.

I don't know why we would throw in our young talent when all they want are expirings. As long as salaries match. At the end of the day I think we are trying to get melo but if denver waits till the deadline, we will not win out. The nets will come back in and get him. I think morey is trying to push to close on a melo deal before the disabled exception expires Monday. If he can't get it done I really believe we are going to get someone with it, and Dalambert or nene are available. So we will see Monday. This is worse than draft night...anxiety sucks. Back to refreshing the main forum page lol

Lets just keep trading with the Kings over and over and maybe one of us will end up with a good team

Don't be silly. Sometimes we'd have to use Memphis for a 3 team trade. If we collect enough assets from those two teams ...BANG!

Dalambert would be a mistake. not a very good player with a terrible contract.

Dalembert gives you in 20 minutes per game: 1.6 blocks, 6.2 rbs, and 5.3 pts. His contract expires at the end of the season.

He gives the Rockets exactly what they need. A center with legit size that can play D.
