We need a shot blocking center and our favorite trade partner has announced he is available for expirings. JJ and yaos would work right?
I don't think you realize how bad Dalembert is. He is really, really bad. Really, really, really bad.
Samuel Dalembert is in the top 15 in rebounding percentage and block percentage, of ALL TIME http://www.basketball-reference.com/leaders/blk_pct_career.html http://www.basketball-reference.com/leaders/trb_pct_career.html Looks to me he's exactly what this team needs, length, rebounding, shot blocking. Everyone's looking bad in Sacramento this year.
Would a Jefferies for Dalambert swap work? What is his contract like.. I don't really think i want him for that many years
Though why trade an expiring Dalembert just for other expirings? Kings gain nothing by doing that. So they must just want to dump him in a Hilton Armstrong like way. Or they're trying to clear the way for Cousins to take all the minutes.
He has an expiring contract of 13.4 M. I don't understand why the Kings want expirings for expirings though.
Are you serious? He's not great, but "really, really, really bad?". He's probably in the middle of the pack when it comes to NBA centers, and we're not getting anyone above him.
He's a good shot blocker and rebounder inside. Two things this team needs the most. His contract is bad though but if the Kings just want expirings, I'd do it.
Because Dalembert is asking for trade. He wants more minutes (probably because it's last year in the contract), but Kings can't do that because they are giving Cousins, thompson, and Landry more time before him.
How has Cole Aldrich done? OKC seems to be in the market for a vet big man who can rebound and may be willing to give up Aldrich...if houston doesn't want Dalembert for whatever reason, then perhaps they can ship him to OKC for Aldrich and expirings...but that would turn OKC into favorites behind LA...
I don't want to derail the thread, but can you point out where I judged Dalembert in any way or form? "Dalembert had a hell of a game tonight" does not = "Dalembert is a very good player". These "fail images" annoy me, but they annoy me even more when the poster himself fails to convey a fail.... Grow up.
Dalembert is around 13 million. JJ is about 6.7 We can do something like this: We give: AB, JJ and Hill (JJ and AB expiring contracts) and use Ariza's trade exception.. Hill is cheap and 2 years so they won't mind that. We get: Dalembert and Landry Lowry/Ish Martin/Lee/T-Will Battier/Bud/T-Will Scola/Landry/Patterson Dalembert/Hayes/Miller
