Only explanation is he's looking at the backboard...the red light never came on if I remember... Still though for all of those refs to miss it is pretty pathethic...better get on their jobs when the playoffs come...
They actually would have had 3.1 seconds and wouldn't have to hit a 3. Don't call people idiots noob.
how can you say that for sure? no one thought the jazz would lose to the warriors in utah on a second night of a back 2 back (for the warriors) and the jazz did. NO is still a tough team and the spurs did lose recently to the blazers at home after blowing a huge lead in the first half. I am not saying its a lock for the spurs to lose those games but its certainly not a lock for them to win those games. just like how its not a lock for the rockets to win or lose their remaining two games
What worries me is that the Rockets have a tough game tomorrow where Portland and SA have baby games against GS and OK. Whats scary is that I think the season will come down to the last game and Houston playing at Dallas doesn't look to good. This SA loss would have pretty much given Houston Home court. Lets just pray the Rockets win tomorrow and SA losses to GS. Damn Portland is still hanging around
The Spurs are finished. They just lost the karma they'll need to advance in the Playoffs. Bring 'em on!
I know they had a chance. And I feel sort of angry too at the none call, but come on its the kings... Rockets can still get 3rd seed if we just win out. We control our own destiny. Counting on other teams to beat our rivals is a loser's mentality.
Bottom ref is looking right at Finley... he has to hear the buzzer and won't be looking for the light.
yeah, the backboard light didn't come on and from what I remember they are supposed to look at the light more than the clock or even the buzzer... is that true?
I hate the spurs as much as the next guy but it wasn't exactly a Utah at SLC cheat...unless they did have something hooked up with the refs. I think its more the low standard of NBA refs than Spurs cheating.
They would have had 3.1 seconds (from when the shot clock hit zero) to get a shot that would not have to be a 3. Plus, overtime is a lot better than just losing. Actually I'm not sure if I'm right on the 3.1 seconds thing. It makes sense taht the clock should stop if the ball is still in a players hands when the shot clock hits zero. Does anyone know the letter of the law there?
Their just suppose to do their frikin job. To this day I still say that Roy's shot against us should never have counted. He catches the ball, turns around and shoots a 30 ft shot in .08 seconds ? WTF ? Now that game could haunt the Rockets............ Stupid Refs.........
Yeah esp considering last season's brent barry non-call on the 3pt attempt in the playoffs. I'm just confused at why they went away from Ike Diogu when he was killing the spurs every single time in the 1st half. They just stopped giving him the ball and posting him up.
we aren't counting on other teams to win, it just helps. plus, you can't say the kings had no chance in ot anyway because they are the kings...
Oh no the Spurs didn't cheat they just took the shot and let the refs make the decision. It was the refs fault and not the Spurs even though I hate'em
theres nothing wrong with asking for help the fans can root for our rivals to lose as long as the players take care of their business the loser mentality phrase is being used to loosely on this board
