It doesn't really make much of a difference. If the Spurs had lost the Rockets would still need to win their last two games to win the division.

If the Spurs drop a game and the Rockets drop one too the Spurs would hold the tiebreak in that scenario.

Red lights come on when the game clock hits 0.0 but not for the shot clock.

If the Spurs lost tonight, they would have been 51-29. If they lost 1 of their last 2, they would finish 52-30. Given the health of their team and the difficulty they had with the Kings, losing 1 more is not too unlikely.

In that scenario, we would only have to go 1-1 in the last 2. Tiebreakers would be irrelevant if the Spurs lost 1 of their last 2 and we did the same.

The Spurs losing to the Kings would have definitely helped our cause even if it didn't guarantee anything.

Except I didn't get rookied for that; I got it due to Cluthfan censorship. I posted a link earlier today that was automatically blanked. Later on, the whole thread was deleted.

Clutchfans is a money making venture; nothing I can do really.

omg this got my blood boiling, more because we've been at the losing end of it. no way roy made that 3 in 0.8 seconds, ridic.

Well it seems people forgot the Lakers got screwed on the possession before. The game would've probably been over if they would've reset the shot clock after the ball hit the rim and they got the offensive rebound. The shot clock resetted to 24 seconds, and I believe the game clock was at like 25 or 26 seconds so either Lakers run the clock out or they foul Kobe who had the ball and make him shoot FT's which would've automatically sealing the game..

That's hilarious. You can pretty much be sure that clutchfans doesn't make any money. Clutch put up ads and takes donations in order to not lose thousands of dollars a year. Even with that, I would be thoroughly astounded if the board breaks even.

Kings were robbed, but allegedly the refs said that shot clock violations are not reviewable, which is why they didn't look at it. Is that true? If so,that blows.

Surely this board doesn't really cost thousands of dollars a year? If it does, that's a terrible investment.

Sorry, I know you're a true fan of the game Clutch and I appreciate it. :D

no that is wrong. the person you quoted is right.

even if the spurs lost, we would still have to win out. If the spurs lost, and we lost one game, that would be one game lost in our division.

we would lose the division tiebreak to the spurs.

so, we still would have to win out. This changes nothing.

Do y'all know that Spurs fans refer to that last game we beat them as ".4" because the Scola foul happened with a little over a second left?

They justify this win, because they should have won that game. Even though there is no way they would have gotten a better shot than the one they got. They seem to think a Parker fade-away contested 30 footer (what they probably would have gotten if they had 1.5 seconds left, or perhaps with Mason) would be a higher percentage play than a wide open Matt Bonner with a pure balanced release.

And I thought Rockets fans were whiney about that Roy play :D

Goofus, I didn't see the post you're talking about, but if it was a link to the site I think it was a link to, that site has been "banned" as long as I have been here, and it has nothing at all to do with "money."

    Geez. (insert roll-eyes here.)

No joke, one time Clutch sold my posts to other sites as original content, made a killing, and established bogus copyright on my work. Also he has my credit card info and takes like $40 a month. This site is nothingif not a money making venture.

    Nothing I can do really.

If the Spurs lost to the Kings AND lost 1 of their last 2 games AND we won either of our last 2 games, divisional tiebreaker would be irrelevant since we'd have 1 more overall win than the Spurs.

In fact, we still don't need to win out even though they beat the Kings. If the Spurs lose to the Hornets, we only need to go 1-1.

Winning out merely guarantees us the division. It is not a HAVE TO. There are still scenarios where we could win the division without winning out.
