Found this awesome and rarely seen G league footage of Nix bringing the ball up the court:

BREAKING NEWS: Nix sucks and appropriately was not drafted. TyTy was supposed to be a lottery pick and was still taken in the first round. Nix will be in the G-League and not our first round pick. Don’t understand the fools on this board defending this out of shape very slow player who can’t play any defense whatsoever and shoots 50% free throws!!!

I think eventually TyTy will supplant Nix, but he will start this year at RGV. Only a “fool” would think otherwise.

he's been quietly getting better. shooting 3pt% at a high clip and started to cut out some of the bonehead TOs.

my favorite thing lately is he ACTIVELY tries to get Green the ball. A welcomed sight for myself and my eyeballs. he turns 21 in february.

That's fine but can he ACTIVELY try to get Green the ball more than a few seconds before the end of the shot clock.

Yeah, that was horrible. I actually like the guy, but that was just bad.

yeah i cant defend that but that's a little on everyone. why wasn't green checking to the ball way sooner? why wasn't silas motioning the play quicker?

one of nix's biggest problems is over thinking. lately in his improved play he's been making quicker decisions and that's been allowing him to think less. overall he still had a decent evening. 1-2 3pt, 1 reb, 1 ast, 2 blks in 12 minutes. playing within himself and the offense is something the team really needs from the backup PG.

Daishen Nix is a 40+ percent 3pt shooter. He should be playing at least 15 minutes and shooting at least 5 threes a game. He might be the best 3pt shooter on the team.

He’s actually a really good compliment to Jalen. Needs to work on his TO’s but he is improving as a player.

Now people are coming around about Nix. :D

I didn't think Nix would amount to anything. Still don't. But he might be the serviceable PG we need at this point.

Probably because he doesn’t think he’s the franchise player

I know he started off the season looking like crap, but IIRC, he has a history of needing time to adjust to whatever league he's playing in.

I believe that he started off slow when he entered the G League, and many of us saw him start off slow in the summer league, as well.

I don't know if he'll stick, but he has been looking a little better and, given his value and the team's focus on player development this season, I think it would be wise to give him time to adjust before writing him off.

He's brutal running the point aside from knowing to defer but is a good spot up shooter. I'd use him to replace Gordon and get a PG who doesn't suck at running an offense.

Nix runs, thinks, and plays in slow motion. Dude is slow physically and also slow mentally.

I hope people don't start getting catfished by Chips...if he ends up being a legit 40% 3 point shooter, I'll eat a little bit of crow...because that's the only thing that's saving him atm

he sucks in all other facets of the game

I've never seen a fringe NBA player at best who refuses to make hustle plays

Nix has solid vision, the problem is no one takes his offense seriously other than a completely wide open 3. If he could actually take his guy one on one on drives occasionally, then his passing would be valuable, but most teams just expect him to kick it out once he starts driving.

I don't see a problem with continuing to see if he can take a step forward, but I'd like to see him work on driving and using his body to get a few layups.
