I didn't get a chance to get back in the server.

I did however run around like a nut, playing alone earlier before I posted the message!!

OK, so DrewP wants to have a meeting on the server... on the 14th or 15th? I'll do my best to be there...are we gonna start a "clan"??? hehe

 

Damn...I was playing CS on some Internet server and I was bad. I was like 0 kills with 10 deaths...lol. I could barely see the enemy before I was dead. Gawd.

 

Hey Surf, are you any worse at CS than at Mechwarrior? Lol. Man, I suck at first person shooters. I have no idea why I buy them, but I do. I think I bought Half-Life when it first came out... I'll join you guys if I can find it. What all do I need to play? If you want target practice, I'm your man.

I doubt it'll be tonight, though.

I knew CS was free, but I thought it was just an add-on for Half-Life and you needed the Half-Life CD.

Which of course I'm having problems finding at the moment...

 

Not sure about that one...I actually bought CS retail..got to support my brethren you know.

WOOT!! I did some DSL tweaking and last night I played on 3 different servers (including Fever Pitch) and only had 1 connection problem in 3 HOURS!!!! I am now ready (I believe) to kick some butt!! I also played on a server where some cheaters got thru... man, that sucks. The guy was getting headshots from miles away... But I stuck it out and eventually the CT's prevailed.

Can someone help out with some lingo?
What is awp? What is fb? I know what a n00b is!

Let's play tonight! Friday 2/15 around 10pm... anyone interested?

AWP is the Magnum rifle, FB is flash bang.

I did Dadakota! I've used them several times. I tweaked on Wednesday, then went back and ran the test on Thursday and tweaked some more. Amazing how one or two changes can really make a difference. I'm a new player now...last night I felt like I was doing pretty good, learning how to cover for your teammates... but I did run into a couple of map problems on the Fever Pitch server.. there was one map (I guess the one that was up last night) that differed from the map I had... I think it was inferno. I've seen 2 different versions of the same map both called de_inferno... is it possible to have both maps in your CS folder? They're both named the same, I don't see how you can save them to the same map folder without one overwriting the other.

I've been downloading maps I don't have from a website called zeroping. http://csmaps.zeroping.com/

hey Dadakota, is there anyway you can send me a copy of de_inferno that you are using? or is there anyway i can FTP it? I have downloaded 2 versions and neither works when your server is running it... or how do I go about getting the version you have?
