Should've made it a poll. Right now I think Kevin Love's value is so bad if you actually want to win games that I wouldn't touch him if Cavs just want to get rid of him for cap space. DMO has been a great supporting cast, I would actually be ok with him and Capela manning the front lines. I don't think he will get 15M a year considering his bad back I think he'd be lucky if somebody offers him 10M
Ding ding ding! he'll bolt for another franchise; he's ready to move on (after being traded!) Maybe the MDA signing helps; I actually think MDA is a really good fit for DMo's game. But I just can't see DMo reupping with Houston after we tried to send him to Detroit.
Aha, my friend.. you knew I couldn't pass up jumping in. RR was talking about DMo...a HEALTHY DMo at a bargain deal (due to the "unknown") of say 12-13 vs. KLove at the Max. History does have a tendency of repeating itself doesn't it. Albeit with a twist here. So, in a perfect world/ in a vacuum/or in a 65 VW Bug ....You know my answer. That said, in the real world, we have to live with the downside risk..and we're not privy to the real status of that back. They attempted to move him for ammo/said downside/and because this year was a cluster****. Needless to say, it would BLOW ME AWAY to see him get out there in PJ's or whatever marketing tragedy Les has us sporting this year...and continue on the track he was headed....because he was on his way towards being an all star...or close to it. It confounds me how many folks couldn't see it. Anyway, we shall see... Ryan Andersen Shmandersen ...not going to get a bargain on him...In fact I'm afraid we'd overpay in more ways than one. BTW - On DMo and his back... Obviously, initially DEEEtroit thought it was cool. Upon further review, of course it was "Ixnay on the Hombre". I am under the impression he wasn't expected to be back at close to 100% until next year..also timing, conditioning, etc. Deetroit wanted him longterm (as they weren't going to shell out that pick without that being the plan) even with the back surgery. That, alone gives me hope that he'll get sorted out. Toss in the fact that he was moving/shooting better late in the year...Of course, you never know with back injuries though. One other thing to consider, is that even if there is still an issue down the road...and I thought this might happen late in his career, is the idea of DMo living down in the post and popping out for the occasional three. I know this takes that wonderful versatility/all around game out of the equation (and this might not be with us), but it's a thought.
I'm excited to see what Dmo can bring in an offense where we can truly utilise his passing and (hopefully) improved shooting. There are few players with his combination of size and skill in the league. I hope we keep him.
Hey Richard Head, that was totally uncalled for. Dont let the anonymity of the internet get the better of you.
