Those crazy Canucks... If that had happened here with soccer or baseball, the lawsuit dad would've hunted the award giver down, kicked his ass, and then kick the ass of the MVP dad for good measure. :D

That's why you hate hockey Behad? Because you didn't win the MVP from that league? You deserve monetary compensation psychological damages!

    OK . . . playing Devils Advocate
Looking at the Stats .. . . . It is a bit one sided
    While we condemn this father

    1. Do you think being named MVP of ya team has something
to do with getting a college scholarship?
I think it oculd not hurt.

    2. Is there any penalty for BLATANT FAVORTISM?
alot of you just wanna say . . OH WELL IT HAPPENS
guess what . . .that is why it KEEPS HAPPENING

    Injustice should be stomped out

    I'm just playing devils Advocate. . .
Good Sportsmanship does not mean being a sap and
taking whatever coming ya way . . sometimes it means
standing up for what you beleive in

injustice?? what injustice?? this is a private league making a subjective determination as to who the MVP of the league was...if this kid was a selfish jackass like his dad, there's a reasonable argument that no matter how impressive his stats are, he ain't the MVP.

but that's beside the point....my point was that this father is wasting an opportunity to teach his kid a valuable lesson...the lesson is: WE DON'T ALWAYS WIN! WE DON'T ALWAYS GET WHAT WE WANT! LIFE SOMETIMES SEEMS UNFAIR! but live gracefully anyway...treat people with respect anyway...don't run around like sour grapes. the best lessons i ever learned from playing sports NEVER came with victory...

If this sets a precedent, I would like to see who is the first to sue for not getting selected as "Best Poster" in the Sequel tourney...

I wonder if Alex Rodriguez will sue if he doesn't win the AL MVP

There is too much politicalism in those award type dealies. it should be the best player period. trust me, ive had to deal with not getting mvp of a sports team despite being clearly the best player. its very frustrating.

It was NINE coaches and managers who selected the MVP. There's more to the award then stats. I assume the kid won the scoring title so he's already got a trophy for the mantle. He must be aledging some serious collusion. You'ld think the lawyers had something better to do.

Its the vote. You can't blame anyone, especially the federation unless it was predetermined.

BTW, i think Hakeem should sue David Robinson, after all Dream dropped 41 on the Mermaid the day he got his trophy. Thats how you prove them wrong...not crying you loser dad.

B/C Allen Iverson scored 31 points a game last year should he have been the MVP, NOMAR?? Nope. Stats don't tell that much.

It gets sickening, all these parents desperately trying to live vicariously through their kids.

OK, so in this case, the kid has talent, and maybe should have won the award, but litigation in order to win just makes you look like a whiner and a jerk.

If the kid winds up in the NHL, then he can feel vindicated.
