Things are looking really well I agree. He's getting really comfortable in that post, smooth and dominant. I can dig it.
Don't forget about T Jones. In the likely event that Asik is traded, I only hope that the Rockets get more Beasts on both ends of the court
Now he just needs to watch when he shoots the middle finger at his own teammates, that it's not on camera for all to see.
This is a rebound. a rebound. He has a moment of frustration when Parsons should have known Howard had it. He's not freaking out about the 70 times that he has deep post position and nobody gets him the ball.
Totally agree with you 100%. Dwight has been great. And for the most part it's appeared to be centred around the backcourt rather than going through Dwight. In defense of that strategy, Dwight did have something like 1/4 of his possessions being T/O when it went through him instead. Still, from watching on my TV set, it seems like Howard sure could use more of the ball on many occasions, and you're right, he hasn't pouted at all. He can show some bad body language at times, but I don't see that as an issue. He is just a heart on the sleeve kind of a guy, and he is friends enough with Parsons and co. to be able to do that. Not a concern. His post moves have been impressive and his free throws have stopped hack-a-howard. I hope the team gives him the ball more around the basket when he is just standing their all the time. He is capable of putting it in the hole so much more easily then whatever they are trying to do instead. Make the defense adjust to this, if they chose to, and it will open it up for everybody else.
I find that when he laughs on a play he immediately becomes serious again when play resumes, everyone gets on him for laughing out there but when its going down he is serious.
I'd add that his focus this year has been on rebounding. I think he's been patiently rebounding this entire time and waited for offense to include him more. That patience is a great sign of maturity.' Good post, RD.
I loved that sequence. Dwight was giving Chandler the look and he did not need to do anything else. He understood the message immediately. He did the same to Casspi a few games ago. It's great to see the young guys eager to rebound, but it is great to see that the boss has control. I used to think that he is spoiled. Now I think that he plays a very unselfish and very clever BB. He is really playing and acting like a team player and that's why I believe that the Rockets are ready to make a run for the title.
Howard is a bad influence on defensive end. no hustle, no energy, no leadership. on offensive end, his is a big hole. what a waste.
I'm sorry you're blue bro. You're glad he's not mad that supposedly no one can get him the ball? Is this a joke? You seriously think he has justification for being mad about something? How about he actually acts like he wants the ball in the post for once? Let me guess, you're one of the guys who complained that no one could get Yao the ball in the post either. Am I right?
