Yea millions of dollars might not convince him.... but that chance encounter at the airport should do it
Or ask these three Hall of Famers I polled about Lin during the season. Willis Reed: "Jeremy Lin reminds me so much of Walt Frazier. It's how Jeremy controls the game, gets the ball to the right people for easy baskets, the lobs he's throwing to Tyson Chandler -- it all reminds me of Clyde." Bob Cousy: "He's got the physical skills to reach a good, very good, or great level in this league. He's exactly what the Knicks needed, a leader and someone to distribute the ball as opposed to a bunch of guys just letting it fly." Pete Carril: "Jeremy's innocent, he's young, he has no agenda, he throws the ball to the right guy. He's awfully fast, he can shoot, he can dribble and it doesn't look like he cares about playing for stats or money." http://espn.go.com/new-york/<wbr>nba/story/_/id/8168735/ian-<wbr>oconnor-new-york-knicks-match-<wbr>houston-rockets-offer-jeremy-<wbr>lin "If I really wanted to, I could have triple-digit endorsements," Lin pointed out, but he does not. Instead, and in large part because Lin wanted to concentrate on basketball, he declined to cash in on the Linsanity gold-rush -- namely, the mountain of business opportunities in Asia -- and picked only three companies: Volvo, Steiner Sports and Nike. http://espn.go.com/new-york/nba/sto...knicks-match-houston-rockets-offer-jeremy-lin http://bbs.clutchfans.net/<wbr>showthread.php?t=223353&page=<wbr>34 “He’s a role model and a mentor to me,” Lin said at the time. “I’m so glad the Knicks didn’t match the contract,” Yao said. “Houston is a good place for Jeremy to come to. It’s a good fit because both sides can provide the best opportunity for each other.” “The people in China are very familiar with Houston,” said Yao, who, since retiring from the N.B.A. because of chronic injuries, has become the owner of the Shanghai Sharks of the Chinese Basketball Association. “The Rockets have been a symbol here for the last 10 years, and now that can be continued. It’s great for people here. I can’t imagine them being any more excited than this.” Last week, N.B.A. China announced a partnership with Yao to help raise basketball participation among youths in China while also holding an annual camp intended to develop elite Chinese players. Yao said passion for basketball in China has never been stronger. http://www.nytimes.com/2012/07/25/s...n-follows-yao-ming-in-more-ways-than-one.html With Yao's Bond that remains Strong with the Rockets & China's (Culture, Media, Basketball-CBA-Shanghai Sharks, Economy, Politics, etc.) and eventually Lin & Howard... The Yao "Lin"-G Effect is still very much in Effect  http://www.nba.com/2009/allstar2009/01/23/fran.yao.012309/index.html
I was hinting at that first part of your comment... the money he can make with Lin/Yao/Asian market is huge...
Great find! Dwight must of been dead tired after that flight yet he still had the energy to joke around.
I think this might be from last year. I don't think Lin has been to China/Taiwan yet this summer. If it was from last year I'm surprised at how much press he was getting considering he was pretty much unknown.
Looks like it's from 2010 http://www.csnbayarea.com/sportsnet...ives-in-china-video-courtesy-of-nba-china.htm
i was trying to find all the info i had about D12 when i first heard about houston going after him /after lin became a Rocket. And i heard that those two met, that when i tried to dig up all the vids and news about it. but this vid was only available in chinese(due to all chinese reporters).
LOL That pic is Katy Perry, but I never liked Perry's face anyways so it's o.k. the pic does her justice.
And I appreciate how Dwight said "Hey Lin, I believe in you man..." or something along those lines, especially because this was b4 Lin became Linsanity.
