Beginning stages of decline. The athleticism is there but he cannot summon it at will any more. This is when announcers say things like "he is a smarter player now who picks his spots" when we all know he really cannot pick his spots. His legs are actually picking when they can give him his trademark explosiveness. Funny how players magically become "smarter" or "more patient" around the age of 30.
I've always disliked Wade as a player, what with all the call-selling and b****ing. Injuries will happen, but Wade is a clear example of a typical NBA star career. Your stardom won't last more than 12 years unless you're a freak of nature (LeBron) or condition yourself relentlessly and intelligently (Kobe)
IMO he is still fully capable. I would imagine it's harder to get in a good rhythm when a lot of your possessions are taken by another player.
Apparently he has a knee problem. This isn't the case of him being 100% healthy and just not being able to perform athletically. His knee injury is going to keep him out of olympics as well.
I dislike the typical players now They run and then jump into people trying to draw fouls more than hit shots sometimes the get three point plays other times we waste time watching them shoot at the free throw line Rocket River
That doesn't detract from my point. Especially the way some players play, it's more likely that you'll suffer a serious injury during your time than not. I'll also add that even Kobe has admitted to being very lucky for not suffering too horrible an injury. Even so, the guy's knees are so worn that it takes state-of-the art medicine to make him play like he was only two years ago. Wade doesn't have the same commitment to skill as Kobe, and will probably not try to develop new moves etc. IMO he's good for another three years, and then will probably retire or come off the bench...Then again the media included ref treatment may just prolong his career. I don't see that happening, seeing as even refs are getting tired of the guy
