How can you not like the guy? Been on his nuts since i first saw his high school highlight video. Though, one wonders if hes this emotional bc he knows it's over and he won't ever be the same? That would suck so bad. No matter how much you love or hate a guy. Seeing good players like T-mac, Yao, Grant Hill, Penny, etc etc go b4 their prime is one of the worst things
I think it's more of how far he's made it in life as a person. A shoe deal with Adidas coming from one of the, if not the most dangerous neighborhood in America in Englewood (south side of Chicago). When you come from rough places and you make it out of there to start a life, it really makes you think how blessed you are to be where you are and I think that's what that emotion was mainly for, judging from what he was saying anyway.
Or maybe it's making it out for just a bit b4 losing it all bc of injury and now hes faced with finding out what he needs to do with life outside of the one thing that took him out of that life?
I don't think so..... What makes you think he's done with basketball? All of what I've read so far is he's actually progressing well. In fact, he's already jumping. Torn ACLs happen, doesn't mean you're going to lose your talent. From the video, it just doesn't seem like that's what it was for... especially when he was speaking about what I said earlier.
I wish I loved my job so much that if I had a career ending injury, I'd be sad to leave it. Just a semi-related thought that this conversation got me thinking about.
Not every person who goes up to celebrities in public are there for genuine reasons. Nowadays, everyone is out to snap a pic of a celebrity naked or get the celebrity to sign something so it can be sold on ebay. Ask the celebrity to make an appearance at so and so birthday party or donate to some charity. Let them be. Go to team sponsored events if you want to meet them or interact with them.
I have doubts whether Rose will be able to return to an all-star level player when he comes back, but it's nice to have a humble NBA star.
T-Mac had a prime, he didn't go before it or during it. Grant Hill had a prime too, but it could have gone longer. Yao went down in his prime. You could say you saw Penny's prime. Then Shaq left.
Great humble player, I have so much respect for him and his passion for the game. Hope he has a speedy recovery and goes back to being the elite player he was.
Even if his career is cut short by injury(hopefully not), he's still a winner imo. An Awesome player and a fine human being.
Or he couldve studied a little bit like any normal student would. Pretty sure he didnt need that high of a score anyway.
You don't think an injury free Tmac could have extended his prime a few more years? The guy is only 33 (I think?).
