    Donatas Motiejunas : HOUSTON ROCKETS

One of the best things about D-Mo is that he speaks his mind. At the Las Vegas Summer League, he was funny and affable with reporters, laughing and joking while always saying exactly what he thought. So when he says he will "never stop working," you believe him. "I'm not halfway to where I want to be," Motiejunas told the Houston Chronicle. "I will never stop working. I'm trying to improve as much as I can. God gave me a gift that I can play basketball, and I don't want to finish my career and think that I did not do something. I want to reach the maximum."

Pretty amazing. Says something about how few rookies are making an impact that our two guys can jump into the top ten after having barely played for most of the season.

dude is gonna be a baller. His attitude is amazing and he'll be a near-'elite' offensive player if he continues on the path he is on. Already has some crafty moves in the post + being a 7fter= scoring machine

Why are they all assuming PG is the only way AB can play? He'll be deadly even in spot minutes at the 2. He's our gunslinger.

The media should have said DMo quotes Ayn Rand.

"The first couple games were harder," Motiejunas told the Houston Chronicle after his third start. "Now I'm kind of getting into shape. I will continue working in the weight room so my muscles get a tone. After the first couple games, my body feel a pain. The practice is not like a game. It's a different speed, a different intensity, different muscles working. You cannot simulate them in practice. I have pain in all my body. Now, I'm back into shape."

Donuts is so smooth. Having him and Harden might make the Rockets the most effortlessly good team in the league.

It says a lot about how bright this teams future will be when they have two rookies in the top ten.

AB can play the 2 in limited stretches and I do expect him and Lin to play together in very limited bouts but his defense is brutal. There are not a whole lot of shooting guards he can hold down.

Overall, plus/minus I don't see it working out for him as a two.

I expect D-Mo to move up the ladder steadily once he learns from Lin how to quote Claude Shannon instead of Ayn Rand.

I think that Motiejunas would have a case for ROY if he had been starting at the beginning of the year. I understand why they had to keep playing Patterson or Morris though, if Motiejunas came in and showed them up Morey couldn't have traded them away for nearly as much value but it did potentially rob DMo of an award.

Somebody should do a comparison of some old Kevin McHale highlights (playing in the post) with similar clips from Motiejunas. D-Mo may just be the 21st century version of Kevin McHale.

    See for yourselves.
