Agreed. Scola can really irritate opposition through his relentless play. He's also a good rebounder, especially considering his vertical limitations. That said, Donuts has 2 things that will get him on the court: 1) Range on his jump shot. There is a reason we didn't play a PF against the Thunder. 2) Defense. He needs to rebound and play solid team D or he'll won't even make it into any regular season games. He'll get passed over for our other PFs.
He has already learned all of McHale's moves. All he needs is the scoop shot that McHale knows nothing about. I'm sure Donuts will look OK under Scola's tutelage.
Remember when we almost traded Battier and Scola for Amare's unrestricted contract? Now that I think about it, that trade could have saved Les a lot of money if he let Amare walk.

I dont know what the heck happened to this thread but..... This is great news for Rockets fans & the folks in the front office that really want him to succeed. Even as a mentor, Scola was a HUGE part of the development of Chandler Parsons as a leader on the team & a true class act. This is almost more important than learning the Scola ice cream scoup.
