Budinger brought the ball up a few times in preseason. He could probably be counted on to play spot minutes at PG to give Brooks a breather, which would make recalling JT a necessity, to cover the backup wing minutes. This would also give Chase more minutes than he is currently getting, which he deserves...

He has already played two games?

Time to call him back up.

I think JT needs to continue to see time with the Vipers. He looks to have a good skillset, but just needs "court time" to get comfortable. When he was playing minutes for the Rockets late in games you could see the skills, but he was hesitant. He just didn't look that comfortable. I think the more "game time" he can see, the better he will be.

I don't think Adelman would put Chase out there with PG responsibilities. The times Chase brought it up were when the PG couldn't break open to get the ball and Chase had to dribble beyond the halfcourt so the Rockets won't get called for 8 seconds, or when there was an opportunity for a fastbreak and Chase decided to take off with it. But there was always a PG with Chase on the floor.

I disagree... the Rockets are using it wisely. They are, when they can, giving their guys in the NBA who are at the end of the bench the opportunity to play. Similarly, when they need a body to fill the roster and practice court pull a player from the d-league who already knows the system to give them a chance to show their stuff.

What exactly do you think is better? Letting a guy sit for months and not play or getting a chance to run up and down the court and be competitive for a while until he's needed on the big team.

Keep in mind Aaron Brooks, Carl Landry, Chuck Hayes all played in our D-League.

Other D-Legue successes include half the Warrior roster.
