He's the inventor of the mRNA. He's also fully vaxxed and had heart issues shortly after. Regrets getting it.

He contributed to the early stages of mrna vaccines but he isn't the sole inventor. I think something like that would take a team of people.

Reading up on him he was one the collaborators on mRNA technology and had gone off on the anti vax side.

Covid itself can cause heart issues so I’m guessing it’s not the vaccines themselves that are causing it but the immune response.

One of those guys that don't deserve seriousness given his history of making many now-known/proven false claims and unproven claims on Twitter related to covid19.

He is a covid antivaxxer that promoted himself as an inventor of mRNA vaccines. He played a non-leading part in a team that did early research on synthesizing mRNA to create protein in the 80s. It was a decade-long effort involving hundreds of scientists to get from there to an actual mRNA vaccine. He never worked on the mRNA vaccine itself.

He promoted ivermectin and other unproven treatment for covid19 while claiming covid19 vaccines were dangerous. Among many other misleading tweets, he tweeted a study questioning covid19 vaccine safety that was later retracted for fundamental flaws.

He is quick to push antivax tweets. One example: "In November 2021, Malone shared a deceptive video on Twitter that falsely linked athlete deaths to COVID-19 vaccines. In particular, the video suggested that Jake West, a 17-year-old Indiana high school football player who succumbed to sudden cardiac arrest, had actually died from COVID-19 vaccination. However, West had died years earlier, in 2013, due to an undiagnosed heart condition. Malone deleted the video from his Twitter account after receiving a cease-and-desist letter from West's family. Malone later said on Twitter that he did not know the video was doctored.[36]"

Covid vaccines can lead to heart inflammation (myocarditis and pericarditis).

Covid infection can lead to heart inflammation, blood clot, and a number of many other heart problems.

Specifically, for myocarditis, the chances are higher with infection than with vaccination.

COVID-19 infection poses higher risk for myocarditis than vaccines | American Heart Association

ps. There are claims of heart problems increasing dramatically since the pandemic started. Some blame this on the vaccine. Some blame this on covid. First, I want to see real data on a dramatic increase in heart problems - I'm not saying it's not happening, but I want to see data. Second, with billions vaccinated and billions infected, unless you do a serious study, you can't seriously just say it's one or the other. But if I have to guess given all the data we have --- if indeed there is a dramatic increase in heart problems, it's much more likely due to covid infection and re-infection.

I have to say that the argument that an infection poses a higher risk for myocarditis than the vaccine isn’t all that compelling without going further and calculating the reduction in chances of getting infected while vaccinated. It’s not like a vaccinated person reduces their chances of getting infected from 100% to 0%.
