I had to open my big mouth.

I tested positive today. So did my wife. First time either of us have had it.

She's more sick than me, but we're not doing too bad.

I've felt mostly like I have a head cold. Sinusy stuff. I've had a few stomach issues. No appetite. Headaches, no fever. Today, I was getting slightly dizzy, as well. Just have been run down feeling. Maybe very slightly short of breath if I walk a quarter to half mile.

The variants to come. It's the ****ing variants.
If they had just reached out, swallowed a tiny bit of pride, for some vaccine help.
    Goddamit.

You called the AIDS/ COVID merger, right?

Sorry to hear that and hope you and your wife get better soon.

was just talking to my Dad today in Hong Kong and he thought he had the flu but tested positive for COVID from a PCR test a couple of days ago. He tested negative today on a rapid test so I hope it’s past for him.

Zero COVID was never going to work and they are finding that out too late.

Sorry to hear this, and sorry to be downer but it's important for everyone to know: studies have been showing that the rapid tests are just not very good. I think about 25% of the time they can detect an asymptomatic or low-symptom case, and only about 40% of the time can they detect a more full-blown case.

Now, if a home rapid-test shows POSITIVE, it's almost always correct, but the negatives just mean it didn't detect something that may or may not be there. PCR is the reliable way, unfortunately.

I can't smell or taste anything. Seems like a good time for a nice, long water fast.

Politics became involved except in the reverse of our situation. CCP overpromised and over celebrated to the point where it became a proxy for their credibility.

The article said (May 2022) “As it looks now, no more doses will be recommended for healthy people under the age of 45, but we are continuously assessing this based on the knowledge we have about the epidemic and the vaccine,” Preben Aavitsland, Chief Physician at the Norwegian Institute of Public Health (NIPH)".

I think Denmark also didn't recommend a booster for those under 50. These are concerning boosters, not the primary series. This context is important that was missing from your response.

Many experts in the field (I have no idea what's the split, but it could even be a majority), do not believe booster of the same vaccine is that important except for those at high risk. Some of these same experts do recommend the new bivalent booster that was designed specifically to also target Omicron variants.

What about the unvaccinated and unmasked expressing regret for unnecessarily taking up resources and hospital beds? I’m not asking for a check for your hospital bill but just some gratitude…..

On the other hand, it would have been nice for the unvaccinated and unmasked to be financially responsible for their decision. No vaccine? No mask? No insurance covering your Covid bills!

    I will try this.

Edit: just ate half of a super large onion in here bites. I could feel the spiciness (I guess you'd say?) In the back of my palate/nose, but couldn't taste it. Drinking a Powerade now, and it tastes different, but doesn't taste. I think it's the effect of the onion and the Powerade together lol. Such a weird feeling. I'll try again tomorrow.

Edit2: I feel like my taste has slightly improved, actually. Thank you so much @bobrek!
