As usual the GOP are essentially killing people due to their obsession with budgets and possibly higher taxes for their wealthy funders. Only good thing is that up to 75% of the Covid deaths are for those who are over 65 who tend to vote and the elderly GOP'er are more likely to die due to being anti-vaxxers.

    https://www.nytimes.com/2022/03/19/health/covid-ba2-surge-variant.html

But the federal government is warning that pandemic funds are drying up. Senate Republicans have said that they will not approve $15 billion in new coronavirus aid without offsetting it by cutting spending elsewhere. House Democrats have balked at a proposal to repurpose money intended for state governments to spend on their pandemic responses.

With the aid package stymied for now, federal officials said that they would need to start cutting shipments of monoclonal antibody treatments to states next week by more than 30 percent. The government has secured 20 million antiviral pills, but orders for more are on hold. And by June, officials said, the federal government’s efforts to ensure that companies keep producing enough tests will run out of money, imperiling capacity for later this year.

There is not enough money to guarantee sufficient purchases of variant-specific booster shots if they are needed, federal officials said. And while those shortages would affect all Americans, uninsured people would face particular risks because a federal program to reimburse providers for testing, treating and vaccinating those without insurance could end in early April.

So...If there is a significant surge that might result in increased hospitalizations....perhaps reinstate some of those restrictions.

Common, wouldn't you rather put some random drug in your body over injecting small pieces of the virus into your blood? Vaccines aren't nature's way to build immunity, much better to put strange chemicals into your body based on what you read in a blog

    Hmm...lies pay $$$

Must've sucked for hospital personnel dealing with the violent fatties who insist on the sheepie pills, but who cares...they signed up for that **** when they swore an oath to Big Hospital and Big Pharma.:rolleyes::rolleyes:

did some air travel recently, and you can feel the resentment of everyone just below the surface at still having to wear the pointless mask

even the pilot said something to the effect of "I know it's miserable and we hate being the mask police, but until President Biden lifts the executive order, we need to comply"

it's the sort of thing that will harden people's disposition toward Biden, like they get off on forcing this discomfort on the plebs

I wear mask and find it's uncomfortable for extended wearing, but it's not anything that could ever bother me to the point of resentment. I think it's such a privilege to choose to get worked over it. In light of recent events in the world, it's really low on the list of things I care about (either being for or against).

so what’s the story on @generalthade_03 and Gioan Baotixita? Did the latter disappear? Did the former reappear? Did they start arguing with each other publicly?

They met together at a dusty old boxing club, wanked each other off and hugged it out.

This is a far cry from the accusations of Dems of manufacturing crisis to permanently grab power as late as the beginning of this year.

Given the Dems' recent pivot, they and the Trump admin's effort confirms they genuinely were trying to understand or fight this unknown virus rather than a guise to consolidate permanent power.

For all the **** happening in Eastern Europe, I for one, am glad people can still think about elections to change the way their leaders think and react.

I travel every other week for meetings. Never heard such a thing. It’s inconvenient, but it isn’t a big deal.
