They won't... the republican party is led by and caters to what the republican party has become. Until they lose and lose big they have no reason to change.
I've thought about this and sadly the only way out is regulation of the internet space of this country. That would be China like control and yes I know how awful that is, but as long as you allow anyone (China,Russia) or anything (bots) post anywhere and everywhere nonsense that is designed to cause conflict and division it will continue until the end of the USA. Of course this will never be allowed, so we are doomed. How many believe that a poster like Pgabriel is real or that mojoman isn't paid to post shitty cartoon after cartoon on these forums? How many other forums can someone working 8 hours a day post to? How about a bot that can post 24/7? Verify every poster, everywhere and then maybe we can have honest discussions again. Let's find a way to limit discussion between actual Americans.
Bit of an overreach to use this forum as an excuse to round up the internet. We're a smallish community who knows each other's posting styles. Why should I seriously engage joke posters who can't read or ignore studies then a different thread later demands facts? That's a more personal question than a matter of being polite and respectful. Does anyone take that guy who only posts cartoons seriously? Let's dox him and find out how pathetic he really is!! The botlike posters here are only an annoyance, but let's say this was a forum like Parler and Clutch pruned the voices he liked. Is it a matter of the government taking out the anonymous trash or a matter of holding Clutch accountable? Maybe neither if the internet is truly free. There were some posters who wanted to "bring account" to Clutch because he wasn't strict enough, so it goes both ways. Things like telegram and signal promise encrypted messaging. Drive people underground enough and they'll find a way to be heard. Then we'll all be wondering what the real problem was before it all started

I didn't say anything about doxing people or limiting what people can post. There are right wing posters here that I believe are genuine and they belong here. I just want every post to be an honest opinion from a real person (American on this particular forum). How would this be accomplished? I don't know, but perhaps a start could be to block anyone connecting from a VPN from posting. I know how this opinion looks. It looks like the ultimate left wing nanny state idea, but it's time people take an honest look at what we have become. This country has OD'ed on the internet and its time for an intervention.
