Yes she had covid when she died, but focusing on that alone and ignoring her seasonal allergies, lactose intolerance, spider veins, and eczema as the possible actual cause of death would be extremely irresponsible.

Wait. Didn't someone say you wear a mask getting your hair cut? Must have been fake news.

So wait, should it or should it not be upsetting if my friend in her 20's with sickle cell dies from COVID? How about my cousin with type 1 diabetes? My aunt with cancer? My numerous obese and high blood pressure family members?

    It's just all so confusing.

France's new spike is starting to get serious again -- about 8000 new cases yesterday.

We are about to pass Italy in COVID-19 deaths per capita... and trump brags about his response to the pandemic.

Trust down across the board, especially with the CDC.

This past weekend I was thinking about going to the Black Hills but after seeing SD's COVID-19 numbers I decided against it. I think I'll be skipping SD for awhile.

South Dakota says it’ll hold state fair, slams ‘elite class of so-called experts’
South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem has slammed ‘elite class of so-called experts’ in fighting the novel coronavirus

South Dakota kicked off its annual state fair Thursday without a requirement to wear masks, following two previous large events in the state amid the coronavirus pandemic.

    • Per USA Today, South Dakota held its state fair after hosting The Sturgis Motorcycle Rally and the The Sioux Empire Fair earlier this summer.
The fair will have hand-washing stations, social distancing and an encouragement to wear masks. But the five-day event does not assume responsibility, according to ABC News.

    • “Exposure to COVID-19 is an inherent risk in any public location where people are present,” according to the fair website. “By visiting the South Dakota State Fairgrounds, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19.”
    A look at Sturgis.
    • Sturgis has been linked with about 118 positive COVID-19 cases for South Dakota residents and about 300 cases across the country.
    • That’s 1% of the 460,000 people who attended. But experts told USA Today that “COVID-19 is a particularly difficult virus to trace to its infection point. Symptoms might not show up for weeks, if at all, in an infected person. Meanwhile, that person could be spreading the virus.”
    South Dakota vs. COVID-19
South Dakota has become a hotbed for COVID-19, though, according to USA Today. Experts suggest the rise is due to schools reopening, small gatherings and big events.

South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem has discouraged schools from requiring masks and promoted hand-washing instead. She also has campaigned against “elite class of so-called experts,” who, she said, impact liberty.

“We are not—and will not—be the subjects of an elite class of so-called experts.”

yeah we get all these false assertions then we have to have fauci or birx or any of other top folks then they all come back and go "umm sorry yeah it really is 200k dead" then we get repugs like the ones here try to lie again then we all go back through it pull the graphs curves and fauci then its deja vu all over again.

its like living with someone with dimentia that keeps telling you there is a secret passage way in the laundry room. i hate to alarm them with reality but how many more times do we need to hear from fauci and co its real deaths? smh

This is why we need a President other than Trump who will take a National response that stops this madness! These Governors are Trump puppets who do as they please with reckless abandon, and earn Trump dollars and funding when they need them.

I'm assuming red state tomfoolery would happen with a Dem president as, they don't want no one to tell them what to do.

But there'd likely be a stronger info network and services for states to tap into.

Heck, any president other than that lying scumbag who invites chaos and disinformation will be better

Spain hit 8k as well last week, these numbers are starting to rival their 1st wave highs, luckily, thankfully, the deaths have not followed suit in the same dramatic fashion as of yet.

Treatment def improved over time but it's not like we built extra permanent hospitals in the last 6 months.
