There's an expected second wave in Fall. Even if we improve and reduce current numbers by half, that's near 100k with a simple margin of error. More than enough of a crude wager for people who want to Be Free now... Trump is going to have to up his game of lying doing what he normally does as president by misleading plus shifting deaths and responsibilities onto the states
Obama certainly would have won, as would have Sanders. i'm happy with term limits, and wish we had them for members of congress too. i also wish there was a third choice this year.
I agree. Like I said, outside of this forum, it’s like he’s a different person. Often enough, what he posts here isn’t insanely outrageous. Unfortunately, on occasion it is. @Commodore suggested some medical grade examination masks in Hangout a few weeks back and included a link. I checked it out, discovering that they were very reasonably priced and sounded like what I was looking for. I ordered two 50 count boxes, which arrived a couple of days ago. Very nice! They are high quality masks and fit much better than the 50 I had ordered through Amazon from some company. Heck, the ones I had fit so poorly that we typically wore ones made from scarves and coffee filters while walking the dog. Thanks, @Commodore!
Yo, Bush, I'm really happy for you. I'mma let you finish, but my Glorious Impeachment was one of the greatest hoaxes of all time!"
It's true that GWB didn't speak up against the greatest hoax in American history, Spoiler namely Donald J. Trump, officer holder and serial liar.
New York is about to pop. DeBlasio has unleashed police state tactics not seen since fascists in Europe and South America. The left are acting like actual Nazi's, ya'll. This video below is shocking. A woman trying to make a living is arrested for violating social distancing rules, and then the police go on a rampage against bystanders. The dam is about to break in New York -- and on the other side, the onrushing of the waters of freedom. Freedom loving Americans will gladly welcome all of you who are repulsed by this police state behavior to our big tent. I hope all of you also now recognize the importance of the 2nd amendment in protecting citizens against the enforcement of unjust laws. If these bystanders were armed, the police would have backed down. Shakiem Brunson and Donni Wright would not be in jail. https://nypost.com/2020/05/03/taser-wielding-cop-attacks-bystander-during-social-distancing-bust/
"The numbers (of deaths) don't justify..." Two Arizona sheriffs say they won't enforce governor's stay-at-home order https://thehill.com/homenews/state-...hey-wont-enforce-governors-stay-at-home-order
Totally agree with you.. I have no issues with @Commodore I agree and disagree with some of his post.. But he's very respectful... T_Man
Maybe I am feeling pessimistic but I am starting to believe that we could hit 1 million deaths in the US before this is all over. We've had about 30,000 deaths the last two months and a month and half of that was with stay at home orders. With stay at home orders falling apart and no vaccine anytime soon. I think this thing will take off..
We're going to shoot past 100k this month and be over 200k by the summer. The strategy was "quarantine long enough to get a testing and tracing infrastructure in place" - we didn't and now we have neither and we risk undoing all the work we did do and the pain we endured and doctors and nurses lives we lost for nothing.
Yes, I've been lucky so far, but our highest mucky-muck on Friday issued an email (I work for a Fortune 100 company) that buried the lead somewhere in the middle: "I also regret that we will need to do more to reduce costs.....will likely take the form of targeted census reductions..."
Hell, with the likely undercount going on, we've hit 100,000. Anyway, when Trump goes on FAUX and poses in front of Lincoln's statue, I have hope again. Trump comparing himself to Lincoln, good God. The only way those two belong in a sentence together is if you graph the Presidents worst to greatest, Trump being the former, Lincoln the latter.
