A big man rotation is usually 3 players. Smith, Howard, & DMo makes having C backups in Dorsey & Black passable. The only other players worth using the BAE on is O'Neal & Blatche.

It's ok to not want him, but smith has shown some skills in the nba. He wasn't terrible for his entire tenure in Atlanta. He had some rough times, but smith has shown some valuable skills in the league. As for your analogy, it's not unheard of for players to be bad fits in one place, and go to better situations and improve. It could blow up. But it's disengenious to act as if that's written in stone. It's a low risk signing. If it doesn't work out, cut your losses and move on.
Do you really not understand what went down? Just understand this: whatever team picks up JSmoove can walk away easily in a NewYorkMinute if the man is not worth the minimum to them. Bobby, relax...sometimes the level of talent around you can help elevate your game. This has been seen time and time again. If you believe that Howard and Harden can make players better around them...then you have to give a chance to a guy that is essentially a bargain deal and is clearly better than the two back up bigs in Dorsey and Black...who imho should be used exclusively for spot duty/or blow out situations...

DMo has been so much less effective playing alongside DHo. This lineup would give us a solid post threat for our 2nd unit. Me likey
