There should be an overflow of support for signing JSmoove to a minimum salary contract here from all the Terrence lovers.
He has to clear waivers first but bring him in as back up? Why not, doesn't seem like Jones will be back any time soon...
How does his salary work? Obviously Detroit will have to pay him what he is owed but does whatever salary he commands going forward ADD to his paycheck or only detract from what Detroit has to pay him? Will there be a bidding war or will he simply take the vet min because he isn't going to find a team that will pay him more than what Detroit is already committed to paying him?
The Pistons envoked the Stretch Provision meaning they will owe him 13.5 million this year and then pay him 5.4 million every year for the next 5 seasons.
Maybe it will be like Scola when he got waived, where teams have the ability to make bids for the player, and the highest one gets the guy while the original team that waived the player will have to pay up the difference between the bid and the original salary waived.

Count me in on the if/then group. If he will play nice with others and leave his shot jacking in Pistonville and if DHo wants him and he'll fit with our rotations then sure, for a minimum investment bring him in. His skill set + Carlisle scares me for a Dallas signing.
Unless the sixers fire Hinkie, I don't think anyone will claim him on Waivers. He will clear and be up for the highest bidder.
