Jones is definitely not better, at least on defense.

Just as a reminder. Mirotic isn't tradable for 30 days after signing his deal.

I can't stand Boozer but he's probably still better than Jones. PnR defense will still be ass. I'd rather take a chance at Ryan Anderson or Ilyasova.

They haven't signed him yet (correct me if they have), so they can still trade us his rights, and then we can then sign him.

So if Boozer came with Mirotic + Dunleavy or Butler you'd still rather have Anderson/Ilyasova instead?

Let's get one thing out the way:
The Chicago owner is cheap and won't amnesty Boozer
There are few teams able to take on 16.8 million cap hit for Boozer, and we are one of them.

So assuming we have to take Boozer, I think we could nab a couple good pieces.
Jimmy Butler SF- A potential Parsons replacement that plays excellent defense. Has a salary of 2 million dollars, and hits restricted free agency next year.

Dunleavy- SF/PF that is the sharpshooter we covet. Salary of 3.32 million (expiring contract)

My question is there any way we could take on Boozer, Butler and Gibson? Would Chicago even include Butler or am I dreaming? And who would we have to include to get Boozer, Butler and Gibson?

Very sensitive time right now, but will likely know how things stand within next 12 hours. A lot of push and shove on negotiations at this late stage. Stay positive.

The difference is, other teams know that the Rockets are desperate to get all the contracts done ASAP, so they can try and bargain for a higher price.

Both the Lakers and Bulls have not used up their cap space, tomorrow we will probably match Parsons and use ours... so why in the hell would Phil Jackson s&t Melo? Phil could just hold his nuts and dare Melo to walk away... to who has max cap? The suns?

At the same time, I don't know what the hell the Bulls would do with

Boozer/Mirotic/Gibson/Gasol/Noah all in the front court unless they plan on just amnestying Boozer.

    Lineup:
    Beverley/min
    Harden/Daniels
    Butler/Dunleavy
    Gibson/Boozer
    Howard/min

Th at seems impossible. Maybe just Boozer and Gibson? Re-sign Parsons

Thanks roe, could you elaborate more, what negotiations? How things stand regarding, Parsons? A Love trade? Rondo trade? Melo throwing us back in the mix? Thanks in advance!

I'd say it's to help Melo get max in Chicago. We get assets to go after someone. Melo isn't coming here.

Fake or not at least the speculation is better than moaning and whining more about how Bosh and Parsons screwed us over. I'm ready to move on.
