Green and Rondo to Houston with D-Mo and others going to Boston.

 

I share the same sentiment in that I like Terry on this team. But he was brought in to be a part of a trade for a better player. Is that player Green? Maybe, maybe not. But I think Morey will have to end up using Terry's contract in a trade come today or February.

I'm sure there are other ways to getting Green besides moving Terry like in my trade machine proposal but if we can get a player that plays both SF and PF fairly well then we might have solved an ongoing problem with a temporary solution that's better than Jones.

I'm with you. I like what Terry brings...I just don't know if we should trade for Rondo. I want him for his playmaking, but I love our team the way it is. I wish we could just get him without giving up anyone...lol

 

I wouldn't mind Bass and Rondo if having to give up a PF.

 

Terry and Pap Smear and the TPE all are possible sacrificial lambs to get a deal done.

 

That would not be "interesting" it would be stupid!

 

I've always felt dmo had a high ceiling. It was frustrating watching him struggle on the court and to even get on the court, but I've never wanted to trade the guy. I thought he'd easily be a better player than jones.

But I like jones. That said, I'd move him before I'd move dmo.

 

If DMo is involved, I would expect to get get Boston's first round pick back with Rondo and we know that will not happen.

 

I know I'm dreamcasting a bit here but what if Morey did the 3-way I posted where we get Green in exchange for Jones and Terry, then used the TPE to get Dragic by adding in the Pelicans' pick as well as a future 2nd? I think that would make for one formidable team

My next door neighbor is close friends with Kendrick Perkins (former HS teammates). They are pretty much inseparable in the offseason. When Perk was in Boston, my neighbor also lived there. During a few beer drinking sessions, he has told me some stories of hanging out with the KG's, RR's, RA's, and PP's both in Boston and Houston.

Let me just say without going into any detail, he is ABSOLUTELY a cancer and it is not "media fueled BS." Dude is an ass by all accounts.

When I asked my neighbor (non-Rocket fan) if he thought Rondo would be a good fit in Houston, his response was "Y'all don't want to deal with that. The Rockets have a good thing going and he is the biggest Diva I have ever been around"

He also said he heard KG tell Rondo in a club one night, "Man you don't make ***** yet and you act like that. When they finally pay you, nobody is going to be able to tell you anything."

**Side Bar-- His KG stories are waaaay better, but I will save those for another time**

I'd say that is pretty telling. Just wanted to add some perspective to those who are advocating a Rondo trade. Sometimes the grass isn't always greener on the other side.

 

I could see this DMo, Cannan, and Terry for Rondo and Green with the TPE.

Gotta give to get and in this scenario you keep Jones and Bev for the bench as well as the NOP pick.

i would be willing to pull the trigger on that. but we will need to get a backup big ASAP.
