Do NOT WANT Ricky Robyou unless he comes with Kevin Love.

The only way Rockets can possibly overcome his pathetic shooting is with this lineup:

    Howard
    Love
    Ariza
    Harden
    Robyou

....and even then it will be very difficult.

His horrendous shooting really handicaps his team.

Yes, I know we are not getting them. Just making a point about the liability that the guy brings.

If we go after Rubio, Morey should be b****slapped.
If Jeremy Lin's inconsistent shooting pisses us off, then Rubio's consistently horrendous shooting will make us riot.

I'm mixed on him, but I do like guys that dish out dimes and lead the league in steals. Wish he could shoot.

That's not as important because our offense doesn't let the PG do its thing. Beverley and Lin were pretty much spot up jump shooters. The offense either runs through Harden or Parsons on the perimeter, or we dump it down low to Dwight.

That's our offense. If we get one of those ball-dominant point guards (pretty much every point guard we are looking at) we're going to have to fundamentally change the offensive system. Although the loss of Parsons might help things a bit since we can just replace Parsons offensive role with whatever PG we bring in, if we happen to bring one in.

That being said if Dwight once again refuses to pick and roll its pointless getting a good PG.
If we refuse to run backdoor cuts, its pointless.
If we refuse to set off-ball screens for our shooters, its pointless.

I don't want us bringing in a PG if he's just going to be used to pass the ball to Harden and Dwight and then stand in a corner for threes. We could grab a specialist for cheap instead of going the star PG route.

****ing McHale is going to ruin this team next year regardless of what we do. :(

Lol, who is Drew and why should we believe him? Clutchfans' culture of "insiders" is really fun but everyone gets taken too easily. Remember roe4christ?

By that rational, I take it you think Rondo's a poor fit too?

I think Rondo is a poor fit and we should be wary putting all our chips in since he hasn't been the same since his ACL injury either.

I think the most glaring hole is a spark off the bench that can create for himself and others and the need for a stretch 4 to space the floor.

I really don't know why we are going after a PG.
Unless we run a completely different offense than what we saw last year bringing a PG in would be a mistake.

Hmm, Fegan is asking 80-5 for Rubio. Who has been overall dissapointing in Minny...

I'm sure we would run things differently. Harden can play more off ball perfectly fine, as he did in OKC.

It's TJones and fillers for a PG. I hope it's Gogi or Rondo. A PG of that caliber will be our coach on the floor, essentially nullifying the effect of McHale's coaching.

After the Parsons debacle, Morey ain't gonna be sentimental over our youngsters. Once there is interest, trade. Don't wait for them to overprice themselves.
