Hmm. Didn't read most of the posts but did jtr really deserve a ban? The whole I'm retired and rich bit is stupid sure. The dude is on a high cuz dmo has been playing well and he called that from a while back. If dmo starts to play poorly I assure you he would be attacked relentlessly (even by me). That's just the way it goes.
Did you even read everything Clutch wrote, or did you just happen to fixate on the part you quoted? The Rockets were nowhere with getting Dragic....before the season started. I mean, wasn't it in the same paragraph....summarizing: "The Rockets have been after him, they have too many point guards, they're gonna hope something shakes loose." Even if what "shakes loose" is nothing more than a juicy turd, it simply confirms that he's a target. We're trying to get him now. "But you don't need to be an insider to figure that out!" Narrows down the list a bit, though. Zeroes things in a bit. Confirmation. As far as "if you keep saying for XYZ amount of time that a trade is gonna happen and it happens/doesn't happen, you're not an insider". To be fair, I don't remember Plowman saying, "Look, I'm an insider. I know Somebody Real Important." Insider is a term that the rest of us bandy about.

Yes... The Rockets were nowhere on Dragic before the season yet there were two individuals who both claimed we were on the verge of acquiring him. Before the season. Drew was one of them, and Clutch agreed his info should probably be banned going forward. Completely agreed with everything in clutch's post. He nailed it. Lots of people on this forum think we will ultimately acquire Dragic, but they admit it's their opinion/guess based on reading the tea leaves. However, there are some who claim inside information.
I am surprised no one here has asked for Wes Mathews on this team. I have heard so many names by you guys, but no Wes.
I saw it brought up in some thread, I can't remember which since there are usually about 10 discussing the same thing, but for the most part people just figured Portland wouldn't do it. I would love him on this team though more than Wilson Chandler or Corey Brewer.
Wes Mathews would be GREAT though what are the chances of Portland dealing him to us? I and I think others assumed he was not on the trading block, therefore, not mentioned.
Its probably personal w/us...Matthews is a punk and i believe i read somewhere he wants a max deal. I dont believe he'll get it but you never know now a days. However I wouldn't say no to him but i jsut dont like him lol

If they were willing to move him they'd probably want a contributor back, something the Rockets are not eager to give up. He'd be a GREAT bench fit for us though.
Rolo is out for a month. Their team is looking good. I do not see them making any significant move based on info to date. I mean, just why would they?
If I'm Portland, I don't make any significant moves without seeing how things go with Kaman. And if I try to move anybody, it's Batum. Blazers fans seem to think Wes belongs in the best 2 guard convo... I have a hard time thinking he'd come off the bench somewhere without being disgruntled. Have you heard something, cyber, or just thinking out loud?
It would be beyond stupid for Portland to send Wes Matthews to the Rockets. He'd come here and easily score 15 off the bench. Plus, I'm not sure how a deal for him can even be done.
But that's the beauty of having Harden....you put Wes in the starting lineup with Harden and it would still function well. Harden Mathews Ariza DMo Howard What's not to like?
