That agreement is still binding, right? He just didn't say what year he would complete the verbal agreement. He's ready now.
He played for the Bulls. DRtg is really misleading on an individual basis because it's so team dependent.
I don't think we have a shot at him. We are operating as an above the cap team based on all the interviews Morey did. We can't even bid the minimum. No way he goes totally unclaimed.
It's pretty tough to break down a player's individual defensive impact, but the most accepted stats are probably the defensive RAPM and RPM (they use some fancy statistical stuff, ridge regression etc. which most people, including me, don't really understand). Links: RAPM, RPM
Doc Rocket @Thedocrocket 1m I like Jeff Adrien's game... GREAT signing for league minimum. But @kevinlove would look just a wee bit better though, don't yathink?
All defensive stats are marginal. Some version of defensive RAPM is probably best, but all are flawed. This article http://www.hickory-high.com/is-espns-real-plus-minus-for-real/ discusses some of the flaws. Boozer is specifically mentioned.
Why post this? No way Love is coming. The Rockets' offer is much MUCH weaker than the Cavs offer (even without Wiggins) , as well as the Warriors offer.
