More importantly, making more than the TE. The Rockets will have to trade Terry and another player (Garcia?) to the Lakers to get him. Not to mention the Lakers will surely ask for picks. So I doubt this has much chance of happening.

I'm assuming you are saying EITHER Bass or Young that Morey has a deal in place for?

Obviously Young would have to come via trade, and Bass can be much more affordable, and fit in the TPE. Not sure either team is desperate to move either guy but Bass seems to be a much more likely candidate. But you probably do still have to give Ainge something albeit a small something to make the deal as Boston is already under the lux tax, and they might want to bring back Bass next Summer on a smaller deal with an upgraded roster.

Both players, and a type of player such as this can be huge for this team this year, but in the long run, I don't really see much of a future beyond this year once Jones gets back healthy and the Rockets have the YOUNG depth that they have with the flexibility that they have with their contracts.

Jones and D-Mo are probably better players than both guys now, and will absolutely be better than both guys in the future. Take into account the Rockets have another cheap rookie contract year NEXT YEAR with both guys and its pretty obvious to me that there really shouldn't be much urgency to move either of them.

However in the short term, if Morey can steal one of these guys (preferably Bass as he will be cheaper, shoots better from his spots, and can defend/rebound against 5's better) he should absolutely do it.

Bass has been someone the Rockets have looked to in the past, but it seems that Morey is going BIGGER :)

You beautiful man, share please. This may be the first positive sign for the Rockets you have posted since you said that Dwight was considering Houston or Asik will not be matched.

Bigger as in physical size? Maybe Sin Bhullar from the DLeague. Don't get bigger than that guy.

Wilson Chandler would be phenomenal here, I'd probably prefer AA but WC would be great. Straight up TPE and the Knicks 2nd rounder is my guess. Leaving us with the NOP pick and TJones to swing for another player later.

I guess cybersex means a better caliber player by saying "bigger" not necessarily size wise or may be Monroe fits both bills.

Wilson Chandler should go to Dallas to complete their monopoly on candle making.
