Maybe we pick up 2 first round picks from Detroit..and ship both of them or a combination with NOLA pick for Rondo. Not sure how the cap would work with taking on both Rondo and Josh Smith.
so is he talking about like a sign and trade Greg Monroe to Boston Rondo to Houston and assest and trade exception to Pistons?
Yeah, doesn't make any sense. The Rockets could acquire Josh Smith, because Josh Smith was below league average with a terrible contract. But you can't flip him as part of a deal for Love or Rondo, because he's below league average with a terrible contract.
This. I don't know if we have a shot at trading for him but I would love to have him. In addition to his game being similar to Bosh's game, he is two years younger and his contract runs until the next big free agent summer, 2016.
The irony of course being they had 3 pretty solid assets in Lin, Asik, and Parsons that they could've put together for Love, Rondo etc. >sigh<
He's saying we would need to repackage them, which doesn't make much sense unless we're talking 3 way deals. i.e. Josh Smith plus NOLA pick to Boston Rondo to Houston TJones, Bass, Gee, DMo to Detriot or something like that...
I think this is overblown, but.. Chandler chose to sign with the Dallas Mavericks. In a club. Gotta question his judgement, overall.
Yes, we had to give the Lakers 2 picks just to take him off our hands. Asik was a positive asset, thus how we received a pick from NOLA for trading him.
CP said he wanted a bigger role. Thats why he went to Dallas. Well that plus all of that cash Cuban gave him.
You guys forgot the rohypnol used by Cuban Seriously, Tyson Chandler is the only one that will defend in that lineup. Good regulars season, bounced in the first Round. Thank you Dallas for taking that over.
You overestimate Chandler's ability and underestimate his age. Actually, we all, collectively as a human race, underestimate the age of the Dallas Mavericks. What happened last year where he picked up a bunch scrubs off the scrap heap and somehow patched up the ship with a combination of Vince Carter Devin Harris Shawn Marion Monta Ellis Samuel Freaking Dalembert and HGH in the water will not happen again, perhaps in NBA history. 8th seed in that brutal conference? Well, ok, maybe they only had to beat an underrated and massively undertalented Phoenix Suns team with Coach Scrappy Jr (in case you didn't know Scrappy Sr is Jerry Sloan) at the helm, but still. 8th seed is an 8th seed, and they did push San Antonio to seven games.
Chandler Parsons is a better player at this point for sure, but Vince Carter was HUGE for the Mavericks in the series against the Spurs and was a big reason why they went 7. His 3 point shooting was electric.
