what if payne is the target? i'm not sure if they're really interested in bev if they're handing the reigns over to schroeder. shelvin mack was re-signed to a 3yr contract. that takes care of their PG rotation. the hawks do have a surplus of PFs. millsap, scott, brand, and muscala. plus horford can play there too. the only other c on their team is pero antic who's also more of a power forward. a project c like capela for payne would help to balance their roster.

6th man, would get all the backup mins at SG and SF, still would average 25-30 mins a game. What else would you suggest, putting Ariza or Korver at PF? Because that would be a defensive disaster.

Yes, but they have all left this thread, and several have left this site because the "fans" here are combative with them whenever they report something that isn't true. There is a minority here who would rather drive away insider sources than stand for a handful of "there have been trade talks about this person" that don't come to fruition. ...I'm scratching my head about it too.

No, there are people here who hear things without much context, but if it's real insider info it'll come from a legit news source. Your best bet is to wait for JR to post a legit news feed.
If Atlanta is looking to bottom out, I'd throw every player/asset not named Harden, Howard, or Ariza at Atlanta for Teague, Korver, and one of Milsap/Horford. Not enough outgoing salary for Teague and Korver. Need another contract which means we'd have to include Black and receive back Muscala. If the deal was for Payne and one of the other two you mentioned, we're basically trading Terrence and Capella for Payne and Bev for Teague. Payne was drafted #15 last year. Capella was #25. Terrence was #18 in 2012. That's interesting.
My sources whispered to me that the Hawks are eyeing D-Mo & Beverley. In exchange they would be eager to part with Millsap / Horford and any other player we want.
