lol Morey has to be looking at a 3rd team deal. He can't fit in the TPE. The salaries to make it work would hurt us more than Barg can bring us. (assuming Papa and Terry)

If my calculations are correct, Terry + D-Mo + Dorsey would be enough to take back $12.417 mil in salary Bargnani is making 11.5 mil this year. However, the Rockets would need to take back 2 more player in the deal to account for roster spots. For those two players they'd probably have to do a separate deal first for a portion of the Lin TPE & maybe a 2nd round pick going back to the Knicks. ........... I'm guessing the motive the Knicks in a deal like that would be to get some young talent and picks. So I guess the TPE + a pick is almost certain in that type of deal, and you'd have to bank on the Knicks really wanting D-Mo. If they want Jones instead I'm willing to say no deal. I know people here cant stand Jones, but the fact is he's a contributor. Giving up not just 1 but 2 contributors and a pick for a player like Bargnani is besides the question.
Agreed. Of course I'm sure Morey is just doing Morey things by calling to see who's available or who he might be interested in (e.g. Bargs) but at this early stage of the season Jason Terry and Papa shouldn't be traded unless it brings back an impact player.
I've considered that Morey is after half of the league several times yes. No offense to Canaan but he's not really the swing vote that other team has been waiting for to all sudden pull a 180 and make the deal. The guy has shown signs of making an impact in the future consistently, but we need to be a little more honest about the value of the Rockets players like this around the league.
Terry + Dorsey + Garcia is enough to get Bargs. We'd have to offload a couple more players for the Knicks since their only motivation on this deal would be to get under the luxury tax and perhaps pick up a second rounder or something. But that deal could be merged with other players going out for a PG, either Goran or Rondo or Rubio even...using Kostas, Terrence, DMo, Canaan, and even Black if necessary.
Getting Bargainani would be a massive fail on Morey's part. I just don't see him doing that trade. With Jones being out we really do need some PF help but good god he isn't the answer. As far as plow goes I'm guessing Dragic?
This trade for Bargnani could be TPE (a player into TPE in a three team trade) + Dorsey foi salary match, ok? Assume we can trade TPE for PRince (7,7M). And trade 7,7M + 0.9M (Dorsey) to absorve Barganani contract (11,5M).
Of course he is. What GM wouldn't be desperate over starting the season 9-2 as one of the best defensive teams in the league? Desperate to celebrate maybe.

I think Plow is talking about Rondo....we tried before with Asik, Lin...now the Rockets don't have those assets and Celtics have half a year left with Rondo. I'm gonna say... any combination of Caanan, Tjones, Capela, Kpap, Dorsey, Garcia and the NOLA pick for Rondo Then the Lin TPE absorbs Bass or Jeff Green. Rondo Harden Ariza Green or Bass Howard
