in what regard? most people viewed it as a #12-14 thing, and barring (another) Davis injury, that's where it will go
If you are not legit, I have to say are doing a excellent job. Amir Johnson and Chuck Hayes are exactly what I would expect from the Fo.
My sources said a trade will go down in the next 2 years. My sauces be clubbing your sauces like baby seals.
Just because you said this, Morey will only work free agency and there will be no trades for the next two years. Thanks a lot!
i don't know anything about drew. but plowman has been a legit poster for a decade and half here. it's possible his info's not good, but i'm pretty sure he's not trolling. he's a die hard rocket fan like all the other old-timers here.
Plowman's not trolling. Maybe his sources are overenthusiastic, maybe, or maybe potential deals had to be put on hold, but he's not trolling. Someone close to Daryl Morey (long-time poster) came on here saying the organization was after a PG upgrade and he was chased off quick. The point being, the potential for a trade seemed legit, but like all/most trades, it takes awhile to pan out. Unless they fall apart.
I think it's pretty obvious that we're after a PG upgrade, not sure how that qualifies as "insider" info. We have just one rotation caliber PG on this team. It's one thing to come on here and say that we are going after Rondo/Dragic/Blesoe specifically. It's another thing to come on here and vehemently insist to a desperate fanbase that we WILL be acquiring one of these particular players, all by the start of the season. Which most people should know is total BS to have any sort of deal "done" but some folks bought in, hard. Plowman went about things the wrong way.
I don't think that's neccisarily correct. I think we're targeting a PG because it's logical and many are available. It's a deep position. But we tried to lock-in a championship team by signing Chandler Parsons & Chris Bosh. We pushed hard for Melo, not Lowry. I don't see any reason to believe we wont make every effort possible to get the best player available, regardless of position. PG just happens to be available and sensible at this moment. I can see that changing.
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>Opportunity still exists for Ricky Rubio extension with Minnesota, but could go down to deadline tonight, league sources tell Yahoo Sports.</p>— Adrian Wojnarowski (@WojYahooNBA) <a href="https://twitter.com/WojYahooNBA/status/528281573087789057">October 31, 2014</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
Rubio is not getting an extension. He can earn a max contract or earn a trade at the deadline. Minny believes (correctly) that Rubio will have about the same value in February. Rondo won't go until February either. Best believe Ainge is going to take a stab at building a veteran competitor around Rondo. Someone mentioned Brandon Knight and that is more the road available to us. You definitely will have different starting PG in November and his name is Jason Terry. Free Agency will again be our opportunity.
Trading for Rubio makes some sense because it allows us to still use cap space to sign a significant free agent in the off season before having to over paying him. You could perhaps add a Milsap, B.Lopez, West, or similar in addition to Rubio, especially if cap smoothing occurs. That might be a better option that hoping to give full max to a Rondo, Aldridge, Love, or Dragic and just hoping they take it.
Absolutely true and that is the reason why is does not matter if he is traded tonight or in February. There won't be an extension or trade.
if the 2015 cap goes up to $70 million, Rox could sign Gasol or Aldrich while holding Rubio, Dwight, and Harden.
Adrian Wojnarowski @WojYahooNBA 2m2 minutes ago Ricky Rubio, Minnesota making progress in talks on a four-year extension, league sources tell Yahoo. There's optimism, but no deal.
