I don't believe they'll actually do it. If they did, though, that'd be something else. Draft a guy in the first so you can eurostash him, fail to do so, and then cut him before the start of the season because he's injured, to keep a borderline NBA player.
if they cut capela, les will wreck the front office. he already wasted a pick on royce and this time he would have to eat all that guaranteed $$$$
Cyberx, I'm curious on what you think of the Rockets ? What seed do you predict they will be if they make playoffs ?
There is zero chance of that happening. Cutting Capela that is. He's a first round draft pick who has been injured. That would be the first time I can recall a team ever waiving a first round pick before the start of their rookie season. The last time the Rockets waived a SECOND round draft pick was back in 96 when they drafted Terrell Bell at 50 and he looked so bad in preseason games that they just cut their losses right then and there. I'd seriously question your sources on this one man. Maybe they are trying to set the clock back by trying to get a first rounder back for him in a trade but no way they are just going to waive a first round pick before they ever hit the practice floor and they sure as hell won't waste a first round pick for Earl freaking Clarke. There is a pretty damn good reason why the guy has failed to stick anywhere in what... 6 years of floating around the NBA.
