When I look at Canaan I think of "instant offense" I think that's what he can provide. As far as actually "running the team", that part is yet to be seen.
Copy and Pasted from Game thread. Glad the NBA season has returned. It makes all of us a bit more energetic and hopeful during the fall. I love the chatter on the bbs. Rockets fans are the best in the world, even better now, due to some minor changes. I was impressed with Ariza, and as much as I enjoyed having Chandler as a Rocket, I think Trevor is content as a role player. He's our Ron-Ron lite. However, the play at the 4 is still such a glaring issue. The bench? Interesting. Where's Jon Barry, Brent Barry and a Carlos Delfino to light it up from the three? We're not set, yet. There's always something going on in the office. Shoot, I guess there's still hope for a prayer. Copy and Pasted from Game Thread. Consider channeling your inner Rafer-Mike James memory and time frame. Lay off on Bev though, apparently. It appears that some homecomings are being explored and some opportunities for gold are available. When there's a glut, there's a way. Guys want to create a racket when minutes or touches are sparse. It's that and the debatable question of how washed up is too washed up? Maybe Aaliyah was right.... Just sayin'.... Love ya'll, -Codman
After watching the 2nd half of last nights game, I genuinely feel that DMo is being auditioned to be traded...The Rockets have been sending some major smoke into the air, prompting us to speculate that the Rockets are in the market for a PG...However, their off season pursuit of Bosh leads me to believe that they are looking to address the PF 1st. Having James Harden on this team lessens the importance of having a traditional PG. Its why I believe that Rockets are just going to let Beverley run the show this year. However, do not be surprised if DMo might be on his way to a situation that may net him more PT...Clutch has made an interesting reference to two key players that could become movable pieces for their respective teams: 1. David West, 2. Paul Milsap. If anything will happen, I expect it to be very similar to how we acquired James Harden. If not, this team might not make a move till the trade deadline(what most of us expected anyways). Also, one thing to point out is this...Morey has always made moves that we least expected or a player whose name hasnt even been on our radar.
the chuck wagon? carl mf'n landry? i think scola's ineligible since we amnestied him… and patrick herrera patterson's not close to being washed up yet. shaun livingston?
Aaliyah reference is "Age ain't nothing but a number" As far as homecoming for a shooter, your realistic candidates include Chase Budinger Courtney Lee Kevin Martin John Lucas Mike James
IIRC we can't bring Scola back until next summer at the earliest. I'd take PP back but if it's a power forward I'm thinking if Morey is desperate enough he'll get Landry back.
Landry is my guess, but if Morey wants Rubio for cheap, we may have to take Bud or K-Mart via Lin TPE..
Hopefully while they're locking you, straitjacketed, into your padded cell. That's the only way I'd laugh if we got Mike James. Betcha Cuban'd laugh (and call his butt-boy Marc Stein: "you've got to trash Morey on the air over this; I'll give you an extra $1,000 in the next envelope...")
