Honestly i see that pick being very valuable, more so than the Toronto pick. Toronto pick was 12 and that's just about the worst i see the pelicans pick being. That's if they all stay healthy i see them being 10th/11th in the west, securing the 13 or 12 selection. But no team stays healthy and if Davis misses significant time, say 30+ games (which is very plausible) and the other significant role players also miss any significant time, your talking about that pick being around 7-11. If Davis were to have a serious season long type injury, your talking about the pick landing 4-7, and NOP trading off significant role players for assets to make up for the loss of their own pick and to hopefully land in the top end protection. Now that pick gets much more understandable at the deadline, and possibly very valuable or not as much. It comes down to when to use it in trade. Trade the pick now, and its got potential to be a great pick, everyone loves potential am i right? But with some serious questions. The trade deadline offers a clearer picture, and can either increase or decrease it's value. After the season it is what it is and again could be better or worse. I think around the deadline if the pelicans are struggling it injured is the prime time to trade it, unless Davis is out for the season. Because that would mean the pick is likely or third star, whether we trade it or keep it and draft.
If you guys accepted that this is the team we're going to roll with to start the season, maybe y'all wouldn't be so bitter. Lol!
Yeah I mean it would be cool to get Bledsoe or GD but ultimately if this is who we roll with it's not so bad. I think this team is going to be a lot better than people think it will.
But he has yet to close it all summer as out of control as it is. So there must be a reason. Either: a) all the crap threads we usually get during the offseason have been consolidated into one this year, making it an easier to read board b) it is driving additional page views which should mean more money for the site which helps Clutch keep the site running c) Clutch believes there is some validity to the trade rumors d) or a combination of some or all of the above
We need the Samuel Jackson gif where he's holding a gun on someone (from Pulp Fiction)... add the slogan.... "SAY SOON ONE MORE TIME!" lol
2nd longest thread in history on here (rockets related at least) and less then 3,000 behind the longest, which is the dwight howard trade thread.
OMG OMG. I got soooo scared when I didnt see this thread in the top 10 when I opened the GARM. I though it got locked
