From the looks of it, the pick should be going to Minnesota for Rubio. Bass I would give Terry and one of the 2nd round picks from the Kings for.
I think our chances of getting Dragic just went WAY up… if not Goran, then Rubio. I'd be happy with either, but what we do know is that we're not getting Bledsoe.
And he's 2nd in the league in steals, but steals don't matter right? His assist to turnover ratio is 3.17 to Patrick Beverly's 2.29. Rubio is a playmaker and puts pressure on ball handlers. Meaning he'll help both the offense and defense. Sign me up.
Many people believe his inability to put the ball in the hoop under almost any circumstances will magically disappear.
Again, Morey knows best. Our front office understands Rubio, his game, his fit with our team far beyond we will ever understand. I as a fan, I trust Morey and our front office. If Morey trades for Rubio and is willing to give him a huge contract, then as a fan i'd be 100% behind it.
Rubio doesn't even have a higher win shares per 48 than pat bev and he has the rock in his hands a whole lot more,.....
Or people don't make things out to be black and white. The hate on Rubio is getting to the point where it starts to make no sense. Similar to the Harden's no-defense hate. Not that there's no merit to it, but it's grown to the point where fans are analyzing on part of the game without looking at any context. Just as the Rockets were an above average defensive team even with Harden, the Wolves were an elite offensive team with Rubio and his supposed lack of a shot. Harden is horrible on defense, but it's not as every single possession the opponent's scoring on him. By the same token, defenders are still drawn to Rubio because while he may not be an average finisher or shooter, you still can't simply not guard him. On a sliding scale, Rubio's shot is bad, but it's not unworkable. He's 49% at the rim, and 33% from the 3pt line. What really drags his average down are his mid-range shots. Incidentally, the same mid-range shots he'll never take as a Rocket because we don't take them. I'm not surprised if Morey is looking at Rubio. He's a lot better once people get over the tunnel vision of looking at his FG% stat.
Take away the exactly 3 foot cut off and extend it to that general close region and you end up with... And it wasn't the first year If you manage to the be the worst in the nba (and this includes all bench scrubs, waived players, everyone) two years in a row, people aren't over reacting, you're just really really really really bad at it.
@HoustonsOwnDrew: No worries everything comes out on a Sunday First Saturday now Sunday? Is it happening already? Are our insiders hiding something?
Because I'm a total sucker when it comes to these things, I'll be on the lookout Sunday for some bombs. Having said that...last time King Drew gave us a deadline, it didn't go so well...
