If the Suns wanted Kevin love for Beldsoe they are just as crazy as Bledsoe for wanting the max contract. This will and is starting to get ugly!
Seems pretty good. I realize you have to give up good players to get good players. But I like jones. I think he could be pretty great this year and for the next 5 years.
This article is crazy. So the suns wouldn't do the trade except for Love, who is an all-star and is paid max money. Bledsoe believes himself to be a future all-star that should be paid max money. However, the suns won't give him max money. If I were Bledsoe, I would be even more determined to leave the team because this article makes it sound like they are purposefully low balling him. I think the suns shot themselves in the foot. If he comes in signing the QO, and doesn't want to be there. He'll end up forcing a trade or cause the suns to have a horrible season because he is going to be stat man to drive up his value and leave on the first train out.
Agree completely. Not only would it give us a little flexibility going forward in Free Agency, but it assures us going forward that 1. Harden will play less minutes in the season 2. Harden wont have the ball as much, although hell still have it a lot, we have said the benefits of him harden not handling the ball 90% of the time 3. Flexibility with lineups....we can get really creative playing small ball while having 4 plus defenders with james I wasnt initially on board with rubio because of his obvious flaws, but his strengths are exactly what this team needs , and his contract isnt a killer to boot.
Not sure how old you are, and if you remember this: There was a point in time when people said Jason Kidd was just a playmaker and was a horrible 3 pt shooter. He rounded out that part of his game towards the latter part of his career, and it kept him in the league long after his athleticism and playmaking abilities escaped him. Just saying..
Ill tell you now i by no means am a contract expert but from my understanding is that the team that owns Rubios contract for the upcoming season can offer him a qualifying offer of 6.3 million for 2015-2016 since hell be a restricted FA..weve seen how much the restricted contract can affect a players interest with monroe and bledsoe this year , so while it might eventually become a max or close to , That added flexibilty and time is worth going after a close to elite pg excluding shooting...
Rubio is not close to elite. He's close to average. And I don't want to be in Phoenix's unfavorable position a year from now at the cost of trading away all of our good assets. It's just bad all around. But the good news is Woj shot this rumor down, so it's a moot point anyway (not that I ever thought Morey would want the anti-Morey Rubio).
Very true. Rubio looks like Chuck Hayes on the freethrow line, just totally out of comfort zone. He kind of leans forward and pauses. I think it's fixable, though. Jones was shooting really well at the beginning of the season, then everything came down, that's part of being young. Shooting is certainly not his strong-suit, but I don't think he's atrocious or he is unapproachable as a trade asset.
We have some really good assets to help sweeten any deal, its just a matter of timing.. NOs Pick Nick Johnson Terrance Jones Kostas and maybe beverely?? if its for rondo maybe?? The point is we are gonna probably be a third wheel just waiting for the right team to want to move the right player....i feel like its impossible to predict weather it happens in october or the deadline or maybe at the start of the season. What we do know is we are looking for a pg and we would trade any of the above in any combination to get that pg except maybe Beverly. I honestly think without a trade we will still be a top 5 seed but the fascination with waiting for durant or waiting for 2015 fa is getting old to me we have dwight at his prime and the best 2 guard in the game lets step on the gas pedal and go for it now , because as we saw with bosh, perfect plans dont always come to life....i have no doubt if the opportunity presents itself we will do it even if the price might be steeper than we all think
Actually this thread gave us THREE legit insiders (not fond of that term) who were vouched (not necessarily by Clutch) and vitriol towards all of them ruined the thread. Otherwise this thread has been very successful discussing potential moves and directions by Rockets FO. But the inane blathering by the non believers serves a very good purpose, I now know who to ignore. It is one thing to question, another thing entirely to be purposefully insulting and disrespectful to someone who is offering you a service, gratis even.
